Where is it

On the northwest coast of Mauritius, the resort is nestled in a tranquil spot in the historic Balaclava area, facing the protected marine park of Turtle Bay. Transfer time from Mauritius International Airport: Approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. 

Please note that if taking a seat in coach this may be longer depending on how many hotel stops are en route.

Hotel information

190 rooms and suites. All with private balcony or terrace, air-conditioning, Heavenly® Beds, 42" LCD flat-screen TV, telephone, iHome docking station, tea/coffee-making facilities, safe, mini-bar*, complimentary WiFi access, hairdryer, separate bathtub and shower, bathrobe and slippers, and iron and ironing board. Junior Suites with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children (or 1 child and 1 infant).

All Inclusive option: includes breakfast at Seasonal Tastes Restaurant. Lunch at Mystique or Beach Grill. Dinner at Seasonal Tastes Restaurant, Mystique, Fusion or Kangan. If guests wish to have dinner at Fusion, a meal credit can be used. Afternoon tea, cakes, savouries and pancakes at Mystique bar. Packed lunches available for guests going on excursions. A selection of drinks (11:00am–11:00pm) including local beers and wines, selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, local spirits, soft drinks and juices. Fully stocked mini-bar (including crisps, soft drinks, local juices, water and local beers, replenished once per day).Tea and coffee facilities in room. Complimentary water sports include kayaks, pedal boats, sailing boats, windsurfing, and snorkelling. Access to the fitness centre, aqua gym and yoga sessions as per hotel schedule. Kids club. Evening entertainment.  

Please note: all inclusive starts upon arrival and ends upon departure. Meal credits will apply to theme nights. Children staying on All Inclusive basis will dine from the kids menu in the restaurants. 

Half Board includes: breakfast at Seasonal Tastes Restaurant and dinner at Seasonal Tastes, Mystique, Fusion or Kangan. If guests wish to have dinner at Fusion, a meal credit can be used. 

Full Board option: includes breakfast at Seasonal Tastes Restaurant. Lunch at Mystique or Beach Grill. Dinner at Seasonal Tastes Restaurant, Mystique, Fusion or Kangan. If guests wish to have dinner at Fusion, a meal credit can be used.

Turtle Bay Junior Suite are larger than Deluxe Rooms with either 1 king-size bed and a sofa bed, or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children (or 1 child and 1 infant).

Heavenly Junior Suites are in a lovely location, just footsteps away from the Indian Ocean, with either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults and 2 children (or 1 child and 1 infant).

Heavenly Family Junior Suites are located on the ground and first floors, with 1 king-size bed and a day bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults, 1 teenager and 1 infant or 2 adults, 2 children and 1 infant. Special amenities include a travel journal and colouring pencils, local activity guide and in-room cookies/treats.

Wellbeing Suites are extremely spacious with a large terrace, lounge and dining areas, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults (plus an infant).

Banyan Suites are pure luxury and offer direct access to the beach, with 1 king-size bed and a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (or 1 child and 1 infant).

Beachfront Suites offer pure luxury, with 1 king-size bed and a sofa bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (or 1 child and 1 infant).

Seasonal Tastes Restaurant (open for buffet breakfast, and daily dinner, offering International cuisine and themed nights), Kangan (modern Indian Restaurant, open for dinner), Fusion (Japanese inspired cuisine including Marriott's iconic Sushi & Live Teppanyaki, open for dinner), Beach Grill (serving meat/fish dishes, open for casual lunches. Not included in Half Board), Mystique (contemporary bar and lounge, with Pan Asian and International dishes during the day, and crafted cocktails and drinks in the evening). The Retreat Bar (main bar which stocks Mauritius' largest selection of local and international brands of rum).

Right from the moment we entered the hotel to begin our 6 day visit, the whole experience has been just AWESOME. The concierge, Miss Tusha was warm and friendly. She delighted us with the news that our room had been upgraded, to WellBeing suite. She made us feel at home instructing us for various things including getting our dinner prebooked to avoid last moment hassle. We had planned our stay to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. And that was the best decision we made. Mr. Anas, at the concierge also advised and suggested us various activities we could avail. The room was an absolute pleasure with an ammmaaaazzziinnnggg ocean view and a huge terrace. Our room was decorated with beautiful flowers on our special day. The room service was simply excellent and very efficient. From lemongrass, honey, fruits and green tea to a mini microwave and guitar, you just had to ask for it . Mr. Geyvind, got everything we wanted. Mr. Yashveer and Miss Devina, were always ready when we needed assistance. At the Mystique Bar, Mr Raja, apart from being a super excellent drink maker, he is a great photographer, too. And an amazing person. Stayed as an Ambassador Member after a week at the JW Marriott. The former is the superior hotel but Westin is a nice place. Coastline not as nice as Le Morne but it’s also a lot cheaper. Issues during the stay included smells from pipe issues outside the room and some issues with the Bar team. All resolved. Stray dogs are everywhere and drink out of the pool. Not a good look. In house restaurants are good - Indian and Mystique in particular. We didn’t try the evening buffet. Hotel feels tired but staff as ever, excellent throughout. If I had the choice, JW Marriott all day long but more expensive. Westin good place to explore Port Louis. Read less

From the moment we arrived I noticed the excellent care & attention to detail the staff provided. We felt like their extended family. The food was excellent & all the amenities were fantastic. Special thanks to the following members of staff Seam was the perfect manager always making time every day to check we were ok. Kevin - The best restaurant manager I have ever seen, always full of fun & making sure we enjoyed ourselves. Keshav- always helpful from the start of our visit. Vicky-ever present that we were comfortable at the bar with our drinks. I could go on with several more thank you’s but you need to experience the midas touch that all the staff have in abundance! On our 25th anniversary, the best decision we made( or to be honest, my husband made) was to book Westin Turtle Bay resort and Spa for our trip. I mean, the kind of service they have provided has been excellent and unmatched. The ever so courteous staff, always smiling and happy to oblige are indeed a joy. Besides, the food choices at Kangan, Mystique, and the buffet are splendid too. I write this on the 4 th of December, 2023, our 25th Anniversary made so special with a pre-booked Italian dinner at Mystique, with Kevin, Doomun, Vinesh, and Sanjana doing their best to make us feel SOOO SPECIAL that we are overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation.
