The hotel

The setting of this hotel is quite something. You'll be just steps from Tel Aviv's lively beachfront and a stroll to Jaffa Old City and the hip-and-happening Port. Check out the sights and smells of the vibrant Carmel Market and perhaps haggle for spices and local treats. It's not all about the location though. Little ones will love it at Dan Panorama — as well as making sandcastles, they can splash around in one of the largest pools in Tel Aviv and have fun in the kids’ club. And while they’re playing, you can head to the spa for some well-deserved me time.

My wife and I checked into the Dan Panorama the evening of Oct. 6, 2023, this was to be the beginning of a 10 day tour through Israel. The next morning Israel was attacked. For the next six days we witnessed the employees of the Dan Panorama continue to service their guests under the most difficult of circumstances. The staff and management were always highly professional and exhibited care and compassion while simultaneously balancing the needs of their own family’s safety. The breakfast buffet was extensive, fresh and delicious, the food servers were efficient and always friendly. The staff at the bar and lounge managed to show a sense of humor but when the air raid sirens started to blare, everyone knew exactly what to do and quickly moved the patrons to safety. The rooms were cleaned, and towels replaced daily. As with all the other employees of the Dan Panorama, the maids always had a smile when they greeted you. In summary, I give the Dan Panorama Tel Aviv my highest rating. They went above and beyond the call of duty to service their guests, never wavering in their professional standards, all this while war was raging. Truly exemplary! Read less

My family and I really liked staying here. The food was great and staff was very helpful, especially Angela at the front desk. We also liked the accommodations and rewards program. Would definitely go back to the hotel.

The rooms were very close to each other on the same floor which made it easier and pleasant to get together. The rooms were large, clean and very pleasant. Beautiful view to the ocean. We only took breakfast in the hotel. Lunch was available at the pool side cantine. Plenty of lounges around the pool as well as small tables. Plenty of parking all around/ The lounge provided nice area for games (cards, etc) later in the evening. Very convenient to meet friends throughout the day and in the eve. Enjoyed our stay very much, would love to come back when the dinning room is completed. Read less

The location is perfect (museum, opera, theaters,), the room is basic but clean and pleasant. The hub at -1 floor is perfect for meetings, work, and small buffet. If you need a quiet room- ask for a high floor and back size - towards the Ichilov Medical Centre. The hotel is perfect for short stays.

The hotel that lost its way. In 2016, I described the Dan Panorama as ‘A great family friendly hotel’. The hotel that lost its way. In 2016, I described the Dan Panorama as ‘A great family friendly hotel’. The world has changed since 2016, but seemingly not the room we were ‘upgraded’ to upon checkin, this room is seemingly stuck in the year 1979! After we changed rooms, we learned that at the Dan Panorama, an upgrade does not mean a bigger room or more amenities, rather a higher floor. To their credit, the team at the Dan Panorama do have ongoing modernisation plans in progress. These plans involved hammering and drilling outside our room at 0740 on Sunday morning! Judging by the threadbare towels, broken poolside showers and torn poolside awning and cracked glassware at breakfast, this is badly needed. Perhaps modernisation will fix the painfully slow elevators too. When we last visited, the staff were uniformly friendly and helpful, some such as Robert, Chaim and the nice lady that cleaned our room still are. Other staff members need to learn empathy for their paying guests, some should question their suitability for a customer facing role in the hospitality industry. Saturday mornings by the pool degenerate in to fights for sun loungers reminiscent of Benidorm in the early days of package holidays. The Dan Panorama has lost it’s way at a time when ever more hotels are opening on Tel Aviv beach. If you want to stay somewhere in Tel Aviv what won’t get you stressed and upset, look elsewhere.
