Can't imagine a better place!

Even though this hotel is located right on the beach, I have not seen a grain of sand anywhere. I noticed motion sensors in the room, so room service will not even knock on your door if you are inside. Staffing is absolutely fantastic! Welcoming, exceptionally polite and helpful. Breakfast is amazing, with so many choices! From traditional breakfast items like eggs and pancakes to smoked fish and salads. Everything was very fresh, high quality and great tasting. This hotel has the best location right on the beach. Not many hotels had a door that leads you to the beach. No road crossing, no walking around. I'd love too come back again!

Great beach but disappointing hotel.

We have stayed number of nights end of Aug, beginning of September.
The hotel has a great location on the beach with private entrance to the beach promenade. This is very convenient as it only takes five minutes to get to the public beach. The hotel has also very good access to local transport (public buses). This is great because it is convenient to explore Tel Aviv using public transport not overpriced rip off taxis. Also, short bus ride to rail station (Savidor) and quick journey to Jerusalem (highly recommended, cost 24 Shekels one way or cheaper option is to buy travelcard). Also, good way from/to the airport.
I am afraid this is all good we can say about this grossly overpriced hotel. This is a very old property passed the sell by date long time ago. Even so called newly redecorated rooms are already old and very small. Cleanliness is just about average. The worst was food. We have been exposed to eating very salty fish and pickled vegetables as well as very sweet cakes for breakfast. Just terrible if you are not Jewish and following Jewish faith. Totally Kosher, what is not communicated on the website while making a booking (I am a Platinum for life Bonvoy member). However, this Hotel is a part of international Marriott hotel chain, and one feels unfair not being communicated about traditional/religious Jewish rules in the hotel. Evening at the hotel bar and restaurant was similar. Executive lounge the same, just salty salmon (sometimes), vegetables and sweetcakes. Good selection of soft drinks, but only white/red very average wine. The lounge is totally closed on Saturdays. Again, not common in the International/Intercontinental hotels.
Better rooms have a marina view. The other side is noisy due to some live music till late evenings.
For example, we were in Oman and Qatar during Ramadan staying in Sheraton and Marriott without restrictions on the menus, just on alcohol, which we were aware off.
Fitness Centre, swimming pool and spa is so old and uninviting, however it probably the cleanest place in the hotel.
The staff of the hotel is mostly helpful and pleasant, trying to do their best under the circumstances.
They are overwhelmingly Russian speaking and sometimes needs a bit more training in Hebrew and English.
When you book an organized trip through the company used by the hotel at least a third of the day is spent in transit and expensive (recommended to find private guide with his/her own transport).
There is a good selection of food outlets on the promenade, however questionable hygiene level?
All in all, very mixed experiences in the hotel and we would not be back there soon.
Although we had a great time on the beach, exploring Tel Aviv and Jerusalem and some other tourist attractions and we would like to be back at some point, but in a different hotel and to do research is advisable.
PS. Do not expect Israel immigration stamp in your passport on arrival. We would have been proud and happy to have one, but they are abruptly refused!

Not a good Marriott hotel
Sep 13, 2023Compass59230132286Angelholm, Sweden
The absolute worst experience I’ve had from a Marriott hotel traveling the world. Normally I love Marriott hotels no matter the brand, always professional and takes care of you. Not so in Tel Aviv.
Personal bordering to rude. I was informed I had to pay $30 to bring a guest to the lounge (Titanium member). Never had to pay to bring a guest into…

Personal bordering to rude. I was informed I had to pay $30 to bring a guest to the lounge (Titanium member). Never had to pay to bring a guest into the lounge anywhere else in the world but perhaps policy in Tel Aviv?
Decide to go down to the bar instead. A young guy in the bar seemed like he didn’t want to take orders when I ordered a drink 18:00. When I returned to the hotel and wanted to order a coffee 22:50 he rudely informed me that the bar was closed.
First and last time here.

Always stay here when in Tel Aviv because for puer beats the location, service and comfort.
Recommend the corner room with full view of the sea and the pier- actually we could see all the way to the TA port from our veranda.
The staff are so attentive and genuinely friendly- really adds to the atmosphere.

Nice hotel on the beach

What I really liked was the nightly turndown service. Our towels would be damp and sandy for the beach but every night we’d come back from dinner and the towels had been replaced, the room spruced up etc. Very nice.
As the saying goes, it does what it says on the tin. It was a very pleasant stay and I would recommend it.

Payments are being prioritised based on when the request was made, working in order from March 2020 onwards. We will always try to process refunds at the earliest opportunity, for requests before August our maximum timeframe is 120 days. As we are steadily reducing the maximum processing time for each new request, for refund requests made in August, we expect the maximum processing time to be 80 days, from the date the refund is requested. For those requesting a refund in September, we expect it to be processed within a maximum of 60 days, and then reduce to 30 days for refunds requested in October, before returning to normal levels.
To finalise the amendment, one of our customer advisors will phone you. We need to work through amend requests in departure date order so we can prioritise those with the most imminent travel plans, so you may have a longer wait than usual until we’re able to ring you back. We will help everyone that wants to move their holiday.
