The hotel

This Mediterranean, yet contemporary style resort, is nestled between Saadiyat Island’s white sandy beach and the famous Saadiyat Beach Golf Course. The St. Regis Saadiyat Island Resort is elegant and prestigious offering a fantastic array of quality services and facilities. Splash about in one of five delightful swimming pools, one of which is adults-only, whilst children have their own pool with a cave and waterfalls to explore. Pamper yourself at the world-class Iridium Spa where you can tailor make your own experience. There is also tennis and squash for those that are more active. Downtown Abu Dhabi is a short taxi ride away with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy. However, The St. Regis boasts an array of restaurants and bars of its own including the Mediterranean-influenced Olea.

Superior Rooms with 1 king-size bed or twin beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Half Board option: includes breakfast and lunch or dinner (on Fridays Half Board is only applicable to dinner). Meals are applicable only in the open buffet at the all-day dining restaurant, Olea. Half Board has to be taken for the full duration of the stay and by all parties booked. Half Board cannot be booked for individual days only.

Full Board option: includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meals are applicable only in the open buffet at the all-day dining restaurant, Olea. Full Board has to be taken for the full duration of the stay and by all parties booked. Full Board cannot be booked for individual days only. On any Fridays, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, Good Friday, Easter and Christmas Day Full Board is not available.

Please note: Half Board and Full Board meals will be served including tea, coffee and local mineral water at Olea all day dining restaurant. All other beverages will be charged as per consumption. Guests will not be refunded for any unconsumed meals.

Dine around credit is on a request basis, and is not available during the summer period. Half Board (buffet lunch or dinner) is available at Olea restaurant only. Should you be booked on Half Board/Full Board and wish to dine in other restaurants, the hotel will extend a credit at the following restaurants: Sontaya, Signature 3, Mazi Abu Dhabi or Buddha-Bar Beach.

Superior Sea View Room has the same facilities as a Superior Room but with breathtaking views of the sea, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

St.Regis Suites have sea views, living area and spacious bathroom, private balcony and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child.

I spent a lovely week at St Regis with my family. Hotel is beautiful, set in tranquil grounds, rooms are super, spacious and very luxurious. House keeping is excellent and turn down service is the best we have ever experienced. Food is delicious in buffet restaurant, Santaya and Buddha Bar and most importantly staff are all attentive and can’t do enough for you. Life guards and waiters at the lap pool went out of their way to look after us and make our stay enjoyable. Unfortunately, we had an issue with one of our rooms which resulted in us being unhappy staying in it but we were very quickly moved and were more than happy with our new rooms. However we had a few issues which marred our stay: We were emailed by our travel agent the night before we arrived that they were closing the family pool. As we had a 3 year old and. 7 year old, we would have changed hotels if we had been given sufficient notice. Management did not take our complaints seriously, merely pointing out that we could use the kids pool ( which was great was a short play but not deep enough to swim in) or the lap pool ( which was too deep and was difficult to access ) eventually they agreed that we could use the adult pool. However they failed to tell other guests this. On the first morning we duly arrived at the almost empty adult pool but one of the few other guests using complained. Rather than explain that families would be using it during the family pool closure we were told that we would not be allowed to use it again! Obviously adult guests are more valued than families! They did then make provision for us to use the pool at the nearby Rotana hotel or at the other St Regis but only after we continually expressed our disappointment. The whole situation was very badly managed. Check in was in a word “awful” it took 90 minutes and was very disorganised. No one even offered the children a drink during that long and extremely boring process. Although food is delicious there is not enough variety in the buffet at dinner. Also, the other St Regis in Abu Dhabi gives 20% discount on food and drink with a Marriot Bonvoy card. The St Regis Saadiyat doesn’t. Overall though a fantastic stay and we would be happy to return. First the structure itself of the hotel is very fancy the Mediterranean style is really fascinating. And the people are very welcoming they assist us immediately, the vibes of the hotel is calm and the view gosh it’s really pretty it’s kinda like a paradise. The amenities is like no other.

I have stayed at many high-end and exotic 5 star properties around the world, but St. Regis Saadiyat resort has made my experience exceptionally special, before and during the stay. Whilst hotels in today's world compete at service excellence, St Regis managed to create a sense of personalization as their service framework which is consistent across the journey, from reservation, to Guest relation, butler, or even the restaurant! And while I'm from Dubai and I breathe Dubai, I gotta say that Abu Dhabi beaches are superior to those in Dubai, especially Saadiyat island where St Regis is at. Buddha Bar there made me and my wife hooked and determined to keep returning and eat any dish with Salmon! It turned out it's a fresh supply from Australia on daily basis, which is the seceret behind the melting and flavourful taste. To top it all, I can easily and safely say that there breakfast buffet outdid all of the other resorts we stayed at, and you should see the list of countless most luxury brands we've stayed at around the world. Thank you Sana for your amazing and genuine hospitality, and all of the Buddha Bar team who have personally took the time to cater their flavourful services and dishes.
