The hotel

The new iconic landmark in Dubai is here, and it’s unlike any other hotel you’ve seen before. If you thought Atlantis, The Palm was impressive (and we agree it is!), then this addition to the Atlantis portfolio will redefine your perspective of luxury and innovation. Atlantis The Royal is where impossible becomes possible, and luxury mixes with experience, challenging the boundaries of imagination. It’s all about space, natural sunlight and feeling like you can quite literally reach the clouds. Speaking of clouds, Cloud 22 brings you a rooftop pool club that’s on another level, literally! Book a private cabana with your own plunge pool, and enjoy an exquisite cocktail with even better views as the sun moves across the horizon and the music goes up a notch. The alluring design of the hotel ensures complete privacy in all room types, 44 of which are available with private infinity pools. On arrival, the magnificent lobby is designed around the 4 natural elements, as you’re welcomed by Droplets, the towering lobby sculpture inspired by the first drop of rain in the desert. And whilst the hotel is full of striking features, bespoke artwork, and large aquariums, it’s the little touches that will also take your breath away. Your bed will be separated from the bathroom by a glass wall that frosts over at a single touch. From your balcony the views across The Palm and Dubai’s skyline are exquisite, but ultimately you won’t need to venture that far with the endless lists of fun, food and frolics on offer here! 17 restaurants each tell their own story, AWAKEN Wellness will have you revitalised in no time, and the nightlife will have you dancing until the early hours. From fountain shows to fire shows, one of the largest jellyfish tanks you’ll ever see, and waterslides galore, Atlantis The Royal is the place where something incredible happens at every minute.

I recently visited the royal family pool at Atlantis and had a wonderful experience. The service was exceptional, and I want to highlight a staff member named Samia, who was incredibly kind and caring throughout my visit. Her attentiveness made my time there even more enjoyable. Thank you for providing such a fantastic atmosphere and service.

Dinning at The Royal Club was excellent! We met the awesome Simon who helped us have the best experience. His knowledge and expertise about the drinks and food gave us the most memorable experience ever. We wanted to come back for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was simply the best.

The Good: Architecture impressive, Royal Club staff shout out; Thet, Si, Simon, Kary great inter-action by these guys and girls, some others overbearing. The Bad: Upon arrival, left CC details at reception without our knowledge, or permission, they drew down, 4.5K (Its not about the money, its the act!) we only found out due to a bank notification advising suspicious activity on our account. Enquired as to why we were not informed an Ass manager Lee, proceeded to say to us '' I am not sure what type of hotels you have stayed in before, but this is a luxury establishment'' Rude and inappropriate! (The bottle of wine, a token). The ''Hot'' food in both the Royal club and Gastronomy consistently cold, despite us telling the teams - But TBF if you asked them to cook something from scratch they would, but should you have to do this every time? Medics, electronic sphygmomanometer, failed twice and they had no manual back up... very concerning and dangerous. The Ugly: Housekeeping for a ''Luxury'' hotel pretty poor, consistently having to ask for extra teabags and milk and failed to leave toilet paper for replenishing, see pics. Read less
