Jumeirah Al Qasr

We have stayed before in 2020 but feel some areas of the hotel could be updated, the check in and check out experience was not what is expected of a 5 star hotel, our card was charged £2000 for the holding fee, which is fair enough as it’s what you’d expect with hotels in Dubai, we were then given some cheap looking bottles of water and the room key and told what sort of direction to go in. Not shown to it as you’d expect at this level of hotel. Check out was just as underwhelming, our transfer was at 4am in the morning so we settled the bill the evening before (or so we thought) on checking through the bill there were lots of charges for things we hadn’t had, basically charged to our room from another room and one charge for around £50 that the lady on reception said was a system error. I’m glad I checked the bill the night before check out. These charges were duly taken off immediately. Anyway the man on reception said the bill had been settled and our credit card which they had taken the original hold off had been charged for our bill. The next morning at 3.30 am when we arrived in the lobby for our transfer there was a lady on reception waving the credit card machine, which I found extremely rude, I explained that I had checked out with her colleague the previous night and he said my credit card had been charged. She was insistent that I swipe my card again, my transfer was waiting and I felt forced and rushed to do so, I had no time to contact the credit card company to check if I was being charged for the bill again. So not a great experience. The pool area here is now looking a bit tired and the pool itself needs re tiling as the tiles are literally coming away beneath your feet. The rooms are also in need of an update The pool and beach staff are wonderful however they are understaffed you can see that they are running around and working really hard. Has a disappointing experience in the French riviera restaurant, rude waiter and made to feel 2nd class because we were on a half board package, we were served the tiniest amount of meat and fries in a cone, not asked if we would like sides or even if the food was ok or if we wanted any more drinks etc. We did speak to the restaurant afterwards and they agreed to take the one set of drinks we had off the bill. The rest of the restaurants across jumeirah are fantastic, Zheng He’s is fantastic and really stood out. The kids club is also wonderful, our son loved it. I feel the standard of hotels in Dubai now has been raised considerably, we stayed at the Atlantis royal last year and the experience was second to none. We are frequent guests in Madinat Jumeirah, staying in Jumeirah hotels for the past 10 years. This time we were staying in Al Qasr for 20 days with our two children (6 and 12 years) and I can definitely say, that this vacation at Jumeirah Al Qasr was the best one from all of our trips, it was simply wonderful. We have tried all the hotels from the Madinat Complex, and I can say for sure, that Jumeirah Al Qasr is simple the best. Starting from the very quick and early check - in at reception, we were feeling as valued guests during all three weeks. First of all, the service in the hotel is really really good. Starting from the cleaning of the rooms twice a day and very thoroughly, continuing with high service and always smiling and very helpful staff at the buffet restaurants, during breakfast and dinner. Also, in some previous years we were disappointed with the service at the beach. But now it was above all. Even in the hot day hours - the staff at Al Qasr Water Sport beach area was always smiling, helpful, brining the water whenever it finishes, changing the towels and brining ice lolly and fruits. The beach have been cleaned several times during the day and evening. So, the sand is always brightly white and the water in the gulf is seeing through clean. The beach in this part was very calm and never overcrowded, like in other parts of the hotels. The buggy staff is very friendly, making the start of your day always with the positive note. Our son had the birthday during our stay. It was very nice to receive different arabic sweets, colorful balloons with cake for his Birthday. Our children was really really happy. The room was always clean and the plates with fruits have been changed every day in the room. The e-butler service works very well and can help you with all your requests in a few minutes. The kids club is very very good too with different programs for kids. Our daughter was very happy to make paintings, dance and to have hna tattoos)) The food in the restaurants is really really good with the wide variation of choice. In some previous years we were disappointed with the choice in the restaurants, comparing all the time with our first stay 10 years ago. And now, I can certainly say, that the food quality is very high with the great variation, like it was many years ago)) Our favorite restaurant is Shimmers for sunset cocktails, lovely music and breathtaking views. We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the hotel staff, for making our vacation unforgettable. The management of the hotel highly appreciates all the guests and are more than willing to solve all the requirements, being always by your side.
