The hotel

The Jumeirah Mina Al Salam, meaning 'harbour of peace', forms the gateway to Madinat Jumeirah - The Arabian Resort of Dubai. Designed as a tribute to Dubai's sea-faring past, it is a harbourside hotel from which waterways and walkways extend to all parts of the complex including nine restaurants and bars, the award-winning Talise Spa and a traditional-style Souk Madinat Jumeirah featuring 75 boutique shops, bars and cafés. Traditional Middle Eastern style and luxurious modernity create a haven of Arabian warmth, and the spacious guest rooms are beautifully furnished with private balconies overlooking the sea.

Where is it

Situated in the Jumeirah area conveniently located for access to Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City, the Palm Jumeirah and Dubai Marina. Madinat Jumeirah is adjacent to the Burj Al Arab, Wild Wadi Waterpark™ and Jumeirah Beach Hotel, and is 10-minutes by car to the nearest shopping mall with complimentary shuttle bus service. At the heart of the resort is the Souk Madinat Jumeirah – a traditional Arabic retail and dining experience. Transfer time from Dubai International Airport: 35 minutes.

Hotel information

292 rooms, all with balconies and follow an Arabian theme. Rooms have 1 king-size bed or twin beds (subject to availability) and a sofa bed (120cm x 180cm), sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (under 12 years). Arabian Deluxe Rooms feature partial views towards the ocean and the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah.

Half Board option: includes buffet breakfast at your property, plus a choice of lunch or dinner which is available on a dine-around basis at a selection of over 40 restaurants within the Jumeirah resorts: Madinat Jumeirah, Jumeirah Creekside Hotel, Jumeirah Emirates Towers and Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. Transport is not included. Please note: some restaurants require a supplement fee.

Lagoon Deluxe Rooms have lagoon views from a private balcony.

Ocean Deluxe Rooms have views of the Arabian Gulf through the panoramic windows in the living room.

Arabian Club Rooms have resort views and include unlimited access to the Amal Lounge.

Ocean Club Rooms include unlimited access to the Amal Lounge.

Highly recommend a stay at this hotel resort. Accomodation was presented immaculately, facilities including gym, pools and restaurants exceeded expectations. The service from staff across the whole precinct was first class. Best buffet breakfasts we’ve been to. We will definitely return.

She came to serve amenity to our room and found out about our anniversary after she greet us. When we came back from the beach, we saw our room with some more cake and chocolate with piece of note to enjoy our moment which make us surprised and unexpected. Small little attention to details touch our hearts. We saw water bottle with a glass on each of the side table that showed us personalized service out of standard bottles serving area. Whilst being loyal Jumeirah guests (JBH & Al Naseem), this was our first stay at Mina A Salam. We spent two weeks here in a club room from the end of June - early July and our time here was fantastic. The trip was for a birthday and the hotel team really helped us celebrate! We took a hotel car from the airport which was a great start to the holiday. Arriving on the overnight flight meant that we checked in at c09.00am and naturally our rooms weren't ready as we'd arrived ahead of the check-in window. The reception team showed us to breakfast in the club lounge and then allowed us to use the gym (J-Club) to get changed to enjoy the facilities for the day ahead of our room being ready. The e-butler team informed us at 12noon that the room was ready which was a great help. The room itself (Club Ocean) was lovely. It was spacious, freshly refurbished and the view was great. Housekeeping looked after us so well during our stay and we cannot thank them enough; from daily cakes, red wine, changing of mattresses to neat turn down service, they were excellent. The club lounge team - especially, Leena, Shipu & manager Moeen were such a pleasure to have met. Their service goes above and beyond and we are greatly looking forward to returning to see them in the future. We hadn't booked half board as the afternoon tea & canapes are typically enough for us and this was proved when we arrived. During our stay we never once experienced any issues or mishaps & since we have returned to the UK, we cannot wait to rebook! Advice for potential guests - the half board restaurant list is great and, despite fewer outlets than it once had, still remains a good dining choice. We personally thought the canapes & afternoon tea were sufficient so I would either choose HB or Club. A lesser advertised point is the use of all of the Madinat hotel pools & facilities. This is a real advantage and an attraction point for us. We used the Al Naseem & Al Qasr pools daily which were very nice. Areas for improvement - more buggies could be brought into service during the hotter months as occasionally we had a prolonged wait & the happy hour / canape timing we found was a little early at 5.30-7.30pm. Personally we would prefer it to revert back to the original timing of 6pm-8pm. Other members of staff who really made the holiday - Gorothy at breakfast, Lookey - pool & beach manager, Reza at the abra station & Zer at the Celeste pool. There were too many more to name but the staff all do their utmost to ensure you have a great holiday and never say no! Thank you once again to all of the Jumeirah team. Room 307 Read less
