This is our 7th trip to the Zabeel Saray. We have always loved it here and have had yet another amazing trip this time around. Others have commented that the hotel is a little dated which is true in some part but what the room decor lacks, the staff and location more than make up for. A special mention to Sam, the shisha sommelier who made us so welcome each night, Jude at Tori Tori was so friendly and professional (the Tanoshi Brunch was one of the best meals we have ever had), Moe at the Sultans Lounge who always had a smile and Sunil at the luggage station and front of house remembered us from our last trips! I hope the 2025 renovation is sympathetic and doesn't change the heart of the place too much. Read less
Image of the Tripadvisor rating Onion smell and unprofessional service

I was put in a room where I could not open the balcony window because outside there was a strong smell of onion. My father in law also got a similar problem, I guess that many rooms suffer of the same problem. There is also kitchen smell in several internal areas. My father in law also got a similar problem, I guess that many rooms suffer of the same problem. There is also kitchen smell in several internal areas. The staff is kind but the service is unprofessional. I asked to speak with a manager but was repeatedly ignored. By the way the cost of the water activities is absurd, eg 300 euros for 30 min of jet foil. I am used to travel in 5* hotels and was recently in another Jumeirah (Muscat Bay, Oman), but this one is really poor quality and should be avoided. Read less

We would not recommend the kids club as without our permission they sent my kid out of the club in a huge hotel. He is just turned 9 and so dangerous to just let our son go. Then when we booked a couples massage u specifically asked concierge and massage if I could check availability for the kids club before I booked as they have a before 6 he’s of massage a cancellation would be 50 per cent charge. I booked two days before. They just send yes send the kids in ‘ no problem’. Then when we arrived the kids clubs tell me the kids club closed at 12-13 pm but I was double checking before I booked the massage. When I spoke to the manager she was kind and said sorry but it’s not really acceptable and quite frankly ruined my experience. I would not recommend this place for a family and be cautious of the kids club. Read less

Great value hotel we had a club room and the club lounge provides great service. Beach attendants very helpful. It has one of the best Indian restaurants I've visited, and a great sports bar. Excellent service, wonderfully helpful staff - special mention to Munir at the pool who looked after us very well. Family room was spacious with good amenities. Nice, varied breakfast but did get busier at later times. Tori Tori meal was delicious.
