A return visit was a must after last year. It was interesting to see the changes, with two massive new hotels next to our resort, but our beach was still enormous and the sea was still wonderfully lukewarm and a delight to swim in. This year they have organised a dine-around system which gave us greater choice beyond the two excellent Al Hamra Beach restaurants. T he accommodation is one of the reasons for our return visit. Open the door and you find a luxurious villa in a beautiful garden. You also have two sets of sun loungers, one in sun and one in shade, together with a nice plunge pool. Walk to the end of the garden and you're right onto the beach and a short stroll to the sea. The villas are so delightful that many guests seem not to use the beach or the sea, so the peaceful ambiance was a welcome relief from the more crowded city hotels. A point to note is that Ras Al Khaimah is a rapidly expanding state, with many hotels and villas under construction. A prime example of this is the first-ever Hotel/Casino being built on an island off the Al Hamra beach. It's due for completion in 2026, and together with the 15 extra villas planned for this resort, may mean that the hideaway we discovered last year is no longer a secret! As I was suffering from painful sciatica, the staff were very kind and helped in every possible way. I should also mention that our much-trusted UK agent Angelfish Travel even arranged for wheelchairs at Heathrow and Dubai airports, which made my journey much less stressful. Read less

Definitely the best choice for Ras Al Khaimah, we love this boutique resort, beautiful villas, very spacious, large private gardens, all beachfront, private pools, outdoor showers and baths, along with lots more We have stayed here several times and are never disappointed, we normally stay as a couple as a special occasion trip without the children because the luxury tented villas are open plan, they do have living areas and bedrooms but are still open, however overworked for us and we had the best time with our children and grandparents, we booked 2 interconnecting villas (14 and 15) and we paid to set up the tippee tent in the garden for one of the villas which the kids absolutely adored and fell asleep in ans we moved them inside later, the food is amazing, our seafood dinner on the beach was the best we’ve had in ages, the breakfast was also delicious with the best service, we can’t fault this hotel, we love it and we will be back, we were going to try the new Sofitel next door as a family trip to Ras al Khaimah from Dubai but we are so pleased we chose the Ritz Carlton beach again, the kids adored the hotel and the setting is so much nicer than any other hotel in the Al hamra area of Ras al Khaimah, with the best service, thankyou so much for making our stay fantastic and we recommend this place to everyone! Familes/couples/spa trips etc! Read less

My review comes a few months late, but I couldn't not do it. Having stayed in a few resorts with private pool in the UAE, I have to say that this was definitely my favorite. The villa and the garden are big and beautiful! Everything was kept super clean, which I'm sure it's not easy, the private pool was just perfect and having a bathtub outdoors was a nice sruprise as I hadn't noticed it was available before booking. There is direct access to the huge beach, with sunset views, however we didn't use it much because it was the peak of summer. The food was great, it's an a la carte menu but with perfectly sized portions for a nice meal: elegantly presented but bigger than fancy small gourmet portions. I have a lot to say about the staff. They were absolutely the best, as I have noticed they always are in Ritz Carlton banded hotels. There is a certain level of costumer service that I don't see anywhere else. At Al Hamra they're attentive and always available, while still keeping your privacy. A special thanks to Sufian Khan, who was the first person to welcome us there and who we most interacted with throughout our stay. He was always super smiley, friendly and happy when transporting us around the resort, even under the July heat 🥵 On our first night at dinner, Aby stood out for being attentive and soft spoken, explaining patiently the menu and making recommendations. Thank you also to Shivraj Rathore, front desk manager, for the welcome message and for making sure my Bonvoy Account would be rewarded accordingly. At last, the house keeping team did a beautiful job in setting up a special decoration request, not just once but twice, making sure our stay was special every day. The cleaning was always impecable and with perfect attention to detail. Thank you! This is for sure my first recommendation for a Beach Resort in the UAE. Read less

This was our first stay at this resort having previously stayed at the Al Wadi before. First thing to mention is why this has lost 1 point on review. The Al Hamra area is undergoing massive building works and the resort is impacted by this. 7 days a week there was a digger creating a massive boulder pontoon right at the edge of the beach. It was going from sunrise to sunset and it unfortunately does impact on the resort. I am unsure how long this work will go on. The only person who apologised on behalf of the hotel was the F and B manager Clark who did everything he could to make our stay as fantastic as possible. But having mentioned the issue to the front office I was slightly disappointed that a resort manager didn’t make contact with us whilst we were there. Also one day the resort hosted a wedding which is something I know they advertise doing, but we had no prior knowledge of this and a DJ started up mid afternoon which was a bit of a surprise. Perhaps the resort could at least warn people. Now onto the positive bits and there were lots. The rooms are wonderful, with lots of outside space and plenty of places to relax both shaded and sunny, with a lovely pool to cool down in. The housekeeping were great and made sure we had everything we needed. The buggy drivers were great and helpful. The Shore House and Beach Deck served wonderful food and drink and the staff were wonderful with special mention to , Tun, Rani, Arun, Deepu, Aline and Clark the manager they really did everything they could to make our stay wonderful. We took advantage one evening of the dine around option to go to one of the other hotels in the area and it was great. The resort is wonderful and the staff are great. Special mention to Christine who really made our stay special with a wonderful gift at the end. This is a wonderful hotel with great staff, fantastic food and a wonderful location. Read less

Gopal the buggy boy and Mohammed and Binood on the beach were very friendly and helpful. I would 100pct visit back. Just one suggestion for management. The sea is devoid of any life.. so may be near the rocks, you can plant some artificial corals, it will greatly enhance the sea life and experience of guests.. its also a good thing to do. Also avoid plastic bottles.. I used up over 20 during my stay and didn't feel good about it. Read less
