All the rooms open onto a corridor that is open air on both ends and the middle, strange setup. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Though there is an elevator for the several floors of the hotel, the building and grounds are not very accessible. If you have mobility issues, this hotel is not for you. The building is set down the hill from the street, down a steep driveway or two flights of steps if you are walking. The pool area is down several flights of external stairs, making it useless to me with a bad hip. The regular parking is at the very bottom of the hill. You have to traverse several flights of stairs to get from your car to inside the building, or walk up a steep street. Breakfast is served in a building across the parking lot. Everyone was complaining about the scrambled eggs being too runny and raw for the days we were there. The bacon was thick slice but was cold, despite being in a heated buffet. Same for the ham and pork sausage. The sliced fruit okay. Pastries were dry, like days old. The coffee was okay; orange juice was good; they only had 2% and skim milk, which tastes like water. The breakfast was a disappointment. Go down the block and find a much better breakfast at any of the other restaurants on the street. There are better choices in Sedona. The views from the back of the building are wonderful, we sat and stared at the mountains till the sun set. Then watched the full moon rise over the peaks. Read less

The only place to stay. We have enjoyed Arroyo Robles once a year for the past 8 years. Never disappoints. Beautiful uptown Sedona property in the heart of the action but still off the path with stunning views

We scored with a fifth floor room and a view of the incredible red rocks. Had to drag ourselves in from the balcony after dark! The uptown location was perfect for walking to nearby shopping and restaurants. We enjoyed a picnic along the lovely creek that abuts the property and appreciated a previous poster's recommendation to drive down to save an uphill walk back with picnic gear. The room was comfortable with the vanity separate from a small bathroom housing the tub and commode. The breakfast room provided another great view, was well stocked, and the staff was quick to keep the room clean. The front desk staff was friendly, accommodating and willing to provide restaurant and sightseeing suggestions. Sedona views provide memories for a lifetime. Our only quibble was with the construction project behind the property that got a very early start every morning. Hopefully, this will be a temporary distraction. Read less

The staff was friendly, personable, and competent. Except for the view from the room's veranda, check in and out was the best part of the stay. The room was clean and adequately stocked, though the layout had a bit of a closed in feel, and lacked flow. The bathroom was small.
