I don’t know if she still works there but Theresa is someone you’ll remember for a lifetime! My wife and I stayed here for a couple days after Christmas in 2020. The property was still decorated with lights and it still felt like it was Christmas. We checked in and found our way to our room and decided a nap was in order. The room was nice and it was clean, which is very important to my wife and I. Later that evening we had dinner at the hotel’s restaurant. I can honestly say that the restaurant doesn’t match the reputation of the hotel. The food wasn’t even close to good. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium rare and it came out well done, the waiter said “I should’ve told you not to get the steak, it’s not good here”. I appreciated him being transparent with us about the food. This was the only downside to our trip, the restaurant could be the best place in town if they invested in a better chef and better food. This was disappointing. Here’s where things got really good, we met Theresa our first evening while sitting in front of the fire place. She is one of the most genuinely kind human being’s my wife and I have every met. As my wife and I sat and drank in front of the fire place, we got to know about Theresa and her love of photography, she was the highlight of our trip. I can’t remember how we got on the topic of our room but she ended up moving us to a nicer room with a fire place and a beautiful view of the back of the property, just because:-). Our second night was another night of drinking by the fire place while having good conversation with Theresa. She deserves increased responsibility and recognition for the dedication she has to her position at the hotel, we would go back just to see her again! Overall, we give this hotel a 4/5 stars. The restaurant was a complete let down and while people may eat there and the hotel makes money off of the guests who don’t care about quality, that doesn’t change the fact that it’s lacking in several areas. This hotel probably turns a profit with no problem but profit doesn’t mean anything if you don’t take action on constructive feedback. I don’t want to stay anywhere else in Flagstaff but the restaurant needs work. Read less

We positioned LA as our staging point for treks to Zion and Bryce in Utah and beyond. The stay was for one night, but based on the overall experience we could have extended. We positioned LA as our staging point for treks to Zion and Bryce in Utah and beyond. The stay was for one night, but based on the overall experience we could have extended. Alas, the dictates of our 5,500-mile Far West Odyssey would not allow. That said we must give high praise to LA, the facility, feel of real hospitality and staff. Our room was spotless, spacious and uber-comfortable. Particular compliment must be rendered to our dinner. We were seated in what I reckon was the largest booth ever; the decor was of a natural wood with hues of tan; the cuisine was flavor-full. Specific kudos must be given to our server, John, who though in semi-slammed mode made us feel like we were the only diners in the room. We will remember John with great respect and appreciation. Little America is a HUGE facility but the staff esprit gave us the feel of a cozy country inn. And although LA sits at the nexus of I-40 and I-70, and has a legendary truck stop for its "front door," you would never know there were hundreds of other guests around. It was that quiet. LA gets an A+++ from us. Read less

To me this is on edge of false advertising - we fully expected to be able to sit & enjoy our balcony. Also — we were unable to walk out on our walk out balcony as there were 7 sand bags & a pile of cigarette butts (in a tobacco free hotel) that no one cleaned up. Very disappointing that we assigned that room - hotel had other rooms available as well as that mess should have been resolved. Otherwise - enjoyed the restaurant/bar for dinners. Served in nice patio area with ambiance (water falls, landscaping, heaters). Read less

Rooms are exceptionally clean, comfortable and roomy. We ordered room service and enjoyed a great meal from the restaurant which was delicious. My only tip would be is if you are planning to pay extra for the room with a forest view and a patio, I would inquire first. I was told that “it’s just a room not overlooking the parking lot”. It faces a courtyard which is bustling with people walking around and talking. This place is very busy. Don’t think peaceful serene sitting outside on the patio type room and you won’t be disappointed. You can stand outside but chairs do not fit on it. It was nice to open the screen for fresh air if you can take the hustle and bustle of constant traffic. It didn’t take away from the overall top notch accommodations, however it might not be worth the extra cost. Read less
