I had never heard of Little America hotels before this trip, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But I was very impressed with the hotel and the grounds. It is lovely. I had never seen a hotel in an urban area with such extensive property and walking trails. It was great for my wife and daughter who love bird-watching. We also had a great view of Humphreys Peak from our balcony. We had dinner at the Silver Pine one night and it was excellent. The room was very nice with lots of furniture I wouldn't normally expect to see in a hotel room, and a huge bathroom with a second sink outside the full bathroom. Read less

We stayed here as part of tour for a couple of days. Very impressed! The rooms were clean and spacious, everything worked. The bathroom was very open and easy to access. My favorite was the walk in shower. People were so friendly and helpful. I had actually left my phone on the table in the restaurant, it was found and turned in to reception, I… Read more

My favorite was the walk in shower. People were so friendly and helpful. The hotel is very central to a lot of attractions in northern Arizona. When I return, I'll be staying here again. Read less

The title says most of it. The pictures of the place on the website make it look extra nice. The title says most of it. The pictures of the place on the website make it look extra nice. When first driving into Flagstaff, I was a little worried that it was all marketing as the first glance suggested more of a road side 'motel' type experience. I was pleasantly surprised after we got settled in. The entire staff, and I mean the entire staff, was very friendly and helpful. Read that again because I mean it. Seriously think of the last place you went to where everyone was friendly and helpful. It doesn't happen these days (yes, I'm an old fuddy-duddy). We stayed in Flagstaff after Sedona as a side trip to the Grand Canyon. I was not overly impressed with the city of Flagstaff but after being in Sedona, most places will be a let down. However, if I'm ever in Flagstaff again, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. The room was really nice, very clean, comfortable and modern (i.e. up to date). The grounds were very well maintained. I didn't bring my swim suit so I didn't take advantage of the hot tub or pool but I was kicking myself for not bring proper attire as they were really nice looking. We walked the Ponderosa Pine trail in the morning, which is a reasonably nice little 2 mile hike. Still get some city noise on the trail and the trail markings are a little unclear but it's still nice little stroll through nature. There are a bunch of little activity areas and green space. Saw a few families there and this is an outstanding place if you have little kids to let them run around and have fun. There's an actually play area and they even have bags (cornhole) and a ladder toss game setup. The cherry on the sundae is the restaurant on site. I think it's the Pine Lodge or named something similar. The food and service was outstanding. It was also reasonably priced. After being in Sedona where nothing is reasonably priced, it was a happy relief. But even more important then the price was the quality of food. It was seriously a cut above most places I've stayed. The wait staff was great, the food was well prepared and delicious with great options. It was so good that while we only stayed for less then 24 hours, we ate there twice -- a late lunch and breakfast which were equally good. Bottom line, if I ever stay in Flagstaff again, this will be my go-to place. Read less

This hotel is an absolute Gem, such a beautiful place to stay for our little pit stop on our way to the Grand Canyon. The rooms are lovely and big with everything you need. We opted for a room with a view of the forest, it was so pretty waking up to the view . Would 100% stay here again.

Little American Hotel was a delightful surprise. It was located close to our favorite hiking spot at Walnut Canyon. The hotel was unassuming brick outside but had a high-end check in foyer that was welcoming, had exquisite landscape art, beautiful wooden desks, and colorful rock art. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, had cool wooden headboards and a gorgeous live edge wooden desk. The bathrooms consisted of a smaller, well appointed sink area and a larger private shower, sink and toilet room. The water for showers was hot, towels were plush, and the rooms were spotless. We appreciated the two queen sized beds that had high end soft bedding. We also enjoyed the restaurant and bar. The staff were friendly, professional, and fast. Happy hour was much appreciated after a day of hiking. Try the short trail outside. Read less
