Aloft Boston Seaport District

Boston, USA

Virgin rating

The hotel

Bang on trend, this hotel’s industrial-meets-chic styling is completely in keeping with its neighbourhood, the fast-flourishing Seaport district. Its spot in this trendy borough’s pretty enviable too, just across the road from its coolest hangout space, Lawn on D, which hosts food trucks, live events, and free yard games and WiFi. Inside the hotel there's plenty to offer too, a suitably contemporary indoor pool space,  live entertainment at D's Keys Dueling Piano Bar or W XYZ Bar, and 24-hour dining and fitness - ideal whatever time you return from exploring Boston’s most famous attractions. From the Freedom Trail to the shopping around Faneuil Hall, the city’s biggest draws are all within a couple of miles.

Through airline circumstances beyond our control we were forced to spend a weekend in Boston. The staff at the Aloft Boston Seaport, and especially Jody at the front desk, went out of their way to make this a positive experience which I appreciated immensely. Our flight was cancelled at roughly midnight which made finding a room nearly impossible. When I called Jody reserved a room for us for the two nights we needed until we could catch a flight home. She made sure that we had everything we needed and even personally walked us to our room when we finally made it to the hotel. It was a bad situation, but her positivity and helpful attitude took some of the sting out. We ended up having a good weekend. The hotel location is near enough to walk to downtown Boston without being in the center of the chaos. The Aloft itself we found to be quiet even though it had high occupancy, and we all were able to get some much-needed rest. I would stay here again without hesitation. Read less

I had been booked at a different hotel property and the AC wasn’t working in my room and they had no other rooms. I was lucky to switch to the Aloft. Jody offered me a bottle of water asked me what else I needed; she was a kind and gracious professional. Sometimes the best customer service experiences aren’t about bells and whistles, it’s just about the people who can read their audience, and get them a quality room with AC and a bottle of water. David was amazing in helping us get checked in after a long car ride from Ontario. He guided us through technical difficulties effortlessly and patiently. He found every available option to help us get checked in. He is an invaluable asset to Marriot. Thank you so much for all your help!
