First off, i stayed here nearly a year ago but was considering going back. Apparently I booked right in the middle of some high school event and I swear there must have been at least 3 thousand high school students here. This wouldn’t be a problem but they were fine by day and partying at night! Banging, yelling loud music, flashing lights in windows and jumping around until at least 2Am! I called the front desk and someone said that it was a conference and there is nothing they can do. During when we were checking in on Thursday we had to wait and hour for an elevator that was jam packed and literally stopped in every floor. When we thought it would be a good idea to go look at the connecting malls there were masses of the same high schoolers in suits and ties running wild. In every hall, every store and every restaurant. On Friday we had a long day out in the city and we came back to use the on-site fitness center and pool. There were no available machines, (same high school students) and the pool looked like a frat party! With music blasting so many people we couldn’t even see the pool! We returned to our room not to high up and tried to sleep only to be stopped by the thumping of bass and yelling at like 10:00 pm my husband went down to see what was happening and it was the (DECA Dance) more like a mosh! The same partying happened all night again! We couldn’t sleep! Thankfully they were gone by Saturday afternoon and we enjoyed our next few days at the hotel. It was wonderful after Saturday. My suggestion is to call to see when this event is happening and don’t book during it! Read less

Julia at the front desk was a ray of sunshine as she started off our 3 day stay here. Will definitely be back. Good food, great location. Didn't need a car or Uber to try out restaurants in the area which were also wonderful.

My Titanium Elite status was recognized at check-in, leading to an upgrade to a Luxury Suite. Due to the closure of the Concierge Lounge, the staff provided an excellent complimentary breakfast option. The location is ideal, just steps away from a grocery store, cafes, and restaurants. Highly recommended! Read less

2020 threw all of us for quite the loop and really messed with a lot of peoples plans for traveling, myself included. However, life continues regardless, which put me on a road trip to the Beantown and a stay at this hotel. Let's get a few things outta the way, yes, it was the pandemic, yes, everyone wore masks, yes I got an upgrade as a platinum member due to less travelers. No, I didn't get the presidential suite(not sure if they even had one) because of less people staying. For those of you that don't want to see the long story, I'll break down the goods and bads briefly Good: Centrally located with a mall across the street, excellent staff, sizeable rooms, excellent view, and great breakfast for Marriott Platinum members Bad: Parking is not free nor cheap, the direct connection to the mall is currently closed, bathroom could use a little updating(really picky stuff) Overall: This is a great hotel, that is only amplified by a great staff that aims to please. Long version: The Boston Marriott Copley Place is a great hotel that really highlights what I've always loved about the Marriott/Sheraton brands. They have comfortable rooms, caring and attentive staff, attention to detail, and great benefits. This particular hotel is located in the Back Bay area of Boston, lots of storefronts, a large mall, Eataly, and one of my new favorites, Atlantic Fish Co. Without diverting too much from this review, it is my new favorite clam chowder location, to the dismay of some and support of others, try it for yourself. In addition to that there are a number of other eateries within walking distance to the hotel. The Charles River is also within walking distance and on a beautiful day, great for a walk alongside. So without question it is a great location to stay at. When you first pull up to the hotel, valet is available if you so wish, but if you politely let the valet know you're looking to just check in first, he/she will let you know where to park so that you can check in. The indoor parking garage at this hotel is by no means cheap, but that is a result of being in the middle of a city and coming from New York City, I completely understood the price, even as I complain about it. The big benefit to using their lot is the ability to drive in and out at your leisure, most parking lots do not allow this "in and out" privilege. If you plan on driving around Boston, this privilege is a must have, which helps offset the cost a bit. Upon entering the lobby through a massive revolving "room", you are greeted with a clean and spacious area with closed off couches and chairs, thanks Covid. Here I met Eva at the front desk. Eva was friendly, asking about where we were from and how was the drive. Then onto the business portion, she thanked me for my patronage and elite status, then proceeded to ask about what rooms I'd be interested in. Eva was thorough and tried to figure out what would suit me best, some rooms were available immediately and others would require a wait. I opted to wait, as I was planning on heading out for lunch anyway. She advised me on my complimentary breakfast and set me up with my parking pass for their lot. All in all a great experience with the front end staff. Upon returning to the hotel after lunch, I was told my room was available, I opted for a river view from a higher elevation. While I did receive a river view, it was somewhat blocked by other buildings as well, thanks Sheraton Boston, but it was still a great view and had a great night view as well. The room itself was a single King bed with a single seat armchair and ottoman. Soft pillows and warm blankets, climate control was a bit noisy but not unbearable. The bathroom while clean did seem like it could do with an update. And this brings me to the crown and jewel of this hotel, the Platinum breakfast benefit. I've stayed at a few hotels throughout the pandemic and before, and I think this might have been the best breakfast I've had inside the U.S. based hotels. The fact that it was complimentary made it that much better. The pictures that I have posted speak for themselves, but the taste matches the looks. This was not steamed eggs in a bag and crusty hard bagels/muffins. The food was fresh, tasty and fulfilling. We were not given the cheap orange juice, this was bottles of Naked Juice, which typically retail for $3- $4. The coffee was Starbucks, according to my wife. Eva was at the receiving end of my request for breakfast every morning and made sure I received everything I ordered. Props to her and the back of the house staff as well. The pool and gym at this location are abiding by Covid rules, which in short means that you can run and do cardio, but no touchy touchy equipment. The pool is operated on a limited scale, where you would have to sign up for certain blocks of time. While we didn't have a problem as there were no other people using the pool while we were in it, this is again good practice by the hotel to ensure Covid regulations were followed. In closing, I'd like to point out that while my main interaction was with Eva, the rest of the staff at this hotel was extremely caring and connecting with the people staying. While Covid may have caused a decrease in service in many places, it was not felt at this location. The housekeeping staff would ask if we needed anything if we passed by them in the hallways since cleaning was at a reduced scale. I know where I'm staying the next time I'm in the area, and if you get the chance to you should, too. Read less

This hotel used to be a classy and vibrant hotel with seemless connection to Copley Place Mall. But we had rather gloomy feel during our stay at this hotel. Covid related restrictions must have been significant contributing factors to this. But the hotel’s ongoing constructions were no less significant contributing factors. When we arrived at the hotel by car, we did not see bell men or valet greeting us. So we just parked our car outside the front door, and went inside for check-in. The lobby was almost deserted, and a substantial part of the lobby was blocked off with dark curtains for constructions. Sofa chairs were placed at the far end of the lobby. Escalators connecting the lobby and Copley Place Mall were blocked off, too. All the hotel staff members wore masks, and we did the same. The reception desk staff was courteous, and efficient. Upon checking in, we self parked our car inside the hotel’s parking place. Unfortunately, the elevators from the parking area to the lobby were shut down, too. So we had to carry our luggage up to the lobby level via a staircase. Our room was clean and spacious with a comfortable king size bed. The room had the usual amenities that are expected of a high class hotel. But there were no complimentary water bottles or slippers. The 2 water bottles placed on top of the desk had $ 4.00 price tag for each. All the hotel restaurants and the bar were closed due to Covid restrictions. Only room service was available for foods, using a simple menu placed on the desk. Read less
