I thought my getting room service delivered like take out was a fluke of COVID. I was wrong, apparently Marriott Copley Place has been doing this for some time before COVID hit. I was ready to settle in my room to get some work done and order great meal topped off with a scotch. No such luck! I received my meal in a bag with plastic utensils, no salt and pepper, no water. I remember staying here years ago and, per Marriott's usual, even got a flower on my tray. Well, hey, I remembered getting a tray! At $400.00 a night this is the best they can do? Really? My scotch has reverted to a cocktail in a can - in a can????? At first the room service person told me to check a menu on line since there was no menu in the room. Well, that is wrong, too. The menu on line is incorrect, instead the food comes from a partner restaurant - Yard House. This must be a cost saving measure - no need to pick up trays, no need to clean those trays or the dishes and utensils that come with the trays. It is so unfortunate, the customer experience is horrible. Now I know that I could have gone out to one of the restaurants at Copley Place and done better by collecting the bag myself. Disappointing! The hotel is undergoing renovation - daily from approx. 9am-6pm - and I stayed in a refurbished room which was an upgrade from my stay last fall. The hotel is located in the heart of Back Bay, close to transportation links, bars, cafes, restaurants, and shops. The hotel is connected to Copley Place which allows folks to walk indoors across part of the city with easy access to many convenient spots. As a Titanium Elite member, I had complimentary access to the M Lounge located on the 2nd floor and offering breakfast and canapés throughout the day (Sun PM-Fri AM; closed weekends). I'd like to recognize Robin in the M Lounge who personified exceptional customer service and friendliness. I will stay here again! Read less

Hotel room is not clean at all and smells. It’s Holiday Inn quality at best. Big disappointment for a Marriott. I’m afraid to explore the rest of the hotel like the gym and will be changing hotels tomorrow! Look elsewhere. This one is not at all a four star property. It’s two or three stars at best.

This hotel was very nice and typical of what you'd expect of a Marriott property. Room was clean and staff was very helpful. Had dinner one night at the local hotel restaurant (take out) and it was excellent!

Stayed for one night during school vacation. Came for the pool, but kids were disappointed since it was only 5.5’ in the deep end and weren’t able to jump in. Plus the pool could have used a good cleaning of all the hair floating around …. The rooms are small and outdated. Bathroom is tiny and can’t fit more than one person in there. Windows… Read more
