Image of the Tripadvisor rating Charging Gold for late checkout!! Unsat!

Hotel is in desperate need of updating. Not great room. Now, here's why I'm writing this. I am a gold and asked for a 2 PM checkout. Keep in mind that golds are supposed to get to 3 pm if available. I was told it's normally a $50 charge for 2 PM but since I'm a gold they'll do it for $25. I responded that as a gold, I'm supposed to be given… Read more

It's not available'. Me. But you just told me I can get 2 PM for $25. Clerk 'It's available for $25, not for free.' Not just a shabby hotel, it doesn't even honor Hilton status. Do not stay here. Although the lobby looks nice enough, this property is a dump. Chose due to Hilton loyalty and proximity to theater district and south station. The rooms are worn and not well maintained. Our first room essentially had no window. Ok, one night stay, NBD. Around 8:30pm my daughter discovered water all over the bathroom floor from a leak above. Things come up; I asked to be relocated and they gave me another room promptly and I appreciated the good service. But the next room didn’t seem to be cleaned well. Hadn’t been vacuumed for sure, I had my doubts if the sheets were clean, and we listened to loud mechanical noises all night. All the front desk staff were lovely but honestly, other than the prompt relocation, there was no other courtesy given. I’m loyal to the Hilton brands but honestly everytime I stay in a doubletree I swear never again. I recommend choosing elsewhere. Read less

Terribly run down hotel room with worn out carpet, broken dresser, mini fridge placed with cords hanging, and worst avocado toast I’ve ever had. The avocado was dark and bruised and served with a marinade tomato. Wanted to throw up. I’ve stayed at many Double Tree hotels in the past but this one was a terrible experience. Checked out early and found another Hilton property elsewhere. Visiting Boston for the first time and chose this hotel for the location. The pictures looked great but not truly accurate. Very nice Hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Great location as you can easily walk to almost all places downtown. Hotel security was good. Rooms were nice and clean. We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel and will stay there again.
