Do yourself a favor and keep on looking. this hotel like many others, think they can keep charging exorbitant prices and never even try to update their decor, replace carpets or update their technology. Place is charging you for all of their empty conference and ballrooms with their $40 daily valet or garage parking and overpriced room rates. Ridiculous! Rooms are small and not comfortable, definitely not worth your hard earned money in my opinion. Read less

I am a big Marriott person, never had heard of Accor or this property. This story is true, the names have been changed to protect the innocent but not of the team members, we were truly impressed which is no small feat haha. After a “problem” at nearby Marriott, lost Marriott credit card and some other silliness I literally stopped here to get room ASAP for same night thinking it may be a Marriott brand as it’s a truly historic beautiful property ala St Regis, my normal favorite. Never had “end to end” amazing people to help, doubly so during pandemic. From “jump” I was aggravated, rescheduled arrival in BOS, traveled 5+ hours, etc. Mike the front door person was amazing and if it wasn’t for him, I would’ve booked a Marriott and not tried it. Luckily, we listened to his advice and area tips. At front desk Anna was super helpful, assisting making on spot reservation. I travel across US and world, the Marriott Titanium desk had me on hold for 20+ min at that point to make a “rescue reservation” and I hung up immediately. It only got better from there, the nice man who helped with bags was great as was the night doorman when we tried to have our friends from Boston visit but restaurant was closed. Next John in Oak Bar for brunch was great and on point making my other half laugh (at my expense) which was great and got her a green juice health drink...even though we were early for lunch haha and property, rooms will likely be updated in future. In the age of COVID travel, I always say that the people make the hotel and this maxim is nowhere more evident than here. After we had brunch and everyone was happy, the other half asked when are we staying here again. At same time, a woman was complaining to the very nice staff about a room quality...I would disagree. I am pretty tough on hotels, don’t try new things and we loved it. Everything happens for a reason and highly recommend they promote and recognize the entire team, especially people above. Please let me know if the GM and execs pass on this positive feedback Read less

The hotel was perfectly located to restaurants, shops and the T system. The hotel itself was old world glamour and extremely well maintained. The staff were pleasant and professional. I would love to go back to the Fairmont Copley!

I agree with April 3rd post. The Gran Dame has aged. From the front of the house and throughout this place it has not aged well. The doorman & and bellman set the table for a disappointing experience_with the discussion of self park vs valet.....$ 40 cash to have a parking spot on the street. Please....... COVID issues aside, here the customer is a distraction and not their primary focus. Room cleanliness was superior, but I struggle with the dark finger prints on all of the doors.... the room service charges are a joke. The $ 80 bottle of Chardonnay became $100+ with fees & taxes. I’ve stayed here before and at other Fairmont properties as well, but this place has been forgotten by ownership. At check out I called the valet for my car and was told it was at the front door. I arrived at the front door and was told by the doorman that my keys were at the front desk-could someone, please, had told me????? The sole redeeming value is the Longbar/Oak Room.... although three+ staff members initially ignored us, we finally were seated and enjoyed a nice cocktail with a mandatory food offering..... As I was walking in from the front toward the reception/check-in, the valet was repeating that I need to pay ($40/day) for the duration of the stay, upfront to him and in the same breath (even before I had a chance to get to the front desk) was pushing me to go to the ATM to give him the cash. As I was walking in from the front toward the reception/check-in, the valet was repeating that I need to pay ($40/day) for the duration of the stay, upfront to him and in the same breath (even before I had a chance to get to the front desk) was pushing me to go to the ATM to give him the cash. I paid him cash but the only receipt he provided me was his handwritten "paid" on the valet ticket. I understand that this is COVID time, but a hotel of Fairmont's reputation, most of the time they had only one person at the front desk. Most of the times I called, the phone would ring for 5-10 minutes with no answer, and when answered , would be on hold for another 5-10 minutes. Free bottled water was included in the room package. The last night of the stay, I called for water at 8:30 PM and receptionist Ana quite rudely said "we are busy now and we are running many errands". I asked her if I could expect water in 30 minutes, she said "I don't know". The water never came and I went to sleep thirsty. Generally, the staff is not polite at all. Other than the location, the hotel has nothing good. All the services (restaurants, fitness) are all closed, but they still charged an additional "Resort" fee of $40/day? Why? Why don't they include this price in the room rate ? Similarly, for room service, they add $8 delivery charge and 18% service charge. Non-transparent pricing. Read less
