We stayed in a room on the Gold Level . The team there were all superb but I must mention Ajla in particular as she was so helpful to us before we arrived and during our stay as we planned activities for our short break in this amazing city . I’d really recommend this Gold level . The breakfasts included in the room rate in Gold are fresh , varied and of excellent quality . Evening snacks are great too along with the wines which are offered on an honesty bar basis . Read less

Check in took much longer than anticipated (about 25 mins). The hotel had a great deal of guests waiting in line in the lobby (I would suggest that the Fairmont offer water to people who are waiting). While I worked on checking us in, my husband walked over to the concierge desk and was able to book a dinner reservation and tickets for the Yankees vs. Red Socks game at Fenway. We both had not been to Fenway so we thought it would be fun! The concierge, Joe, was amazing (I feel like everyone in Boston is always so nice!) He helped us work through all our plans, got us reservations, tickets, etc. and had a great time discussing marathons with my hubby. Thanks Joe! We finally made it through check in and our bellman, Benny (he was also amazing and helpful!), helped us up to the 6th floor where our room was located. Now this hotel isn’t very tall, and it is historic, so definitely a different feel. We were in a Signature Room with a view of Copely Square. This particular hotel does offer Fairmont Gold. The Fairmont Gold is a step up from their basic rooms. It is located on the 4th floor and does offer more amnesties. If you are looking for a more personalized experience that may be a better choice. The Signature Room was nice and spacious. You can tell the hotel is historic, but they still offer all of the standard appointments a newer hotel has with an “old” feel. Read less

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Nice club floor but the hotel does not care about lost items

I had a lovely three nights on the club floor, but unfortunately any positive feelings have been tainted by the fact that I left an item in the room and the hotel lost and found staff members clearly don't care about the hotel customers' property that they leave behind. I had a lovely three nights on the club floor, but unfortunately any positive feelings have been tainted by the fact that I left an item in the room and the hotel lost and found staff members clearly don't care about the hotel customers' property that they leave behind. I assume the item was stolen or thrown out. I called a few hours after I left the hotel about the item, emailed and called twice more. My phone calls and email were never returned as promised. This makes a customer feel like once the bill is paid the customer no longer matters. A phone call with an apology was all I expected. There are many other excellent hotels nearby that I will try next time I am in Boston because sadly I do not want to return to the Fairmont. Read less
