This is a special place, the lobby and first floor is beautiful with impressive artwork. The dining area/bar is beautiful too. I did have to switch rooms with the air system being really loud. Christian at the front deck, was very accommodating and service oriented and found me another room. Also, Mike at the front door, was helpful getting a cab - now have to call for one. The location is prefect if you want to be in the Back Bay. A couple blocks from Newberry street with lots of restaurants and a short walk to the Gardens. Read less

I called about my upcoming stay and spoke to Christian. I had a bunch of questions and he was extremely helpful. This hotel should be pleased they have such a stellar employee!! Having stayed at many hotels in the last year, I know how difficult it is to find good help. I will be sure to do another review after my stay!!

Stayed at this hotel in Winter of 2019 with my Mom when doing a college tour the next day. Exceptional service, great concierge services and the rooms were some of the nicest I’ve stayed in. Very luxurious and grand- the marble bathroom was very nice too. Appointed beautifully, great service- would definitely stay here again.

Fairmont Copley Plaza is located in, arguably, the best area of Boston, Back Bay. Well, this is my favorite part of Boston anyway, and Copley Plaza is great area, with historic architecture, including Fairmont building, excellent restaurants, Newberry street shopping, and a lot more... The hotel itself is quite distinguished outside and inside, on a conservative side. The service was generally very good and competent, with few minor exceptions. As a Platinum Accor Member, I got upgraded to very nice room on top floor, albeit without the view. The common hotel areas are very attractive, and the room furnishings are fine too, and it was spacious room, with large bathroom. The rooms show some age though, and might require an update pretty soon. The Lounge was closed, hasn't reopened yet. The bar downstairs was lively, enjoyed my complimentary drink there. The rate was fairly reasonable, considering the class of hotel. Hope to stay there again soon. After all, it was 1 night stay on business! It is really 4.5 out of 5 stars. Read less

We booked a room with a king size bed directly through the hotel months in advance. When we arrived at check in time, our room was not ready. They offered that we sit in the lobby, and they would let us know when we could get in. We waited about an hour, and watched as they checked other people in. I finally asked (trying to be patient with the shortage of employees and issues businesses are dealing with now), and they said the room was ready. The room we got was in a musty, narrow hallway off the main hallway. The bathroom was odd. You had to sit sideways on the toliet because there was no room - it was bumped up against something on the wall. The bed was comfortable which was a redeeming feature of the room, but the price of the room was not cheap. I cannot believe others got the same kind of room for that price, and I'm not sure why we did. If you plan to stay (which is a great area), make sure it's not in a room in the narrow hallway.
