Room was a bit tight, bathroom even more tight. Shower was HORRIBLE. Came back freezing cold from my day and got no relief from a hot shower—pretty unbelievable for a $300+/night room. Is the hotel resting on its laurels because it is historic? I get more water out of my local campground shower. They should change the shower heads (unless I was the only one with an extreme low-flow shower head). TV was a bit dated in that the remote labeling was hard to read. No in-room refrigerator. No free lobby coffee. Perhaps I just expect more as a dedicated Hilton and Marriott traveler. Those chains go the the extra mile I guess. Fun to stay in a historic hotel but not so fun that I won’t return to my old stand-by. Hope Omni will consider some upgrades. The housekeeper, Rose, was great. Hope you get her as she did an immaculate job! Valet guys were also courteous and prompt. Read less

I’m so glad I did my research to find the right hotel. This hotel is a landmark with such rich history and stood the test of time and I like staying at places that have that element or charm. From the intricate details of decor that line the different areas of the lobby, the elegant chandeliers, the dark wooden panels and the picture of notable person throughout the years gives this place a most nostalgic feel. The executive suite that I stayed in was roomy, it felt dated but in a good way, I think it’s part of its appeal. It was just enough for me to enjoy as I played tourist here in Boston. It’s location is perfect! Located in the freedom trail & near the Boston common, Faneuil Hall & Quincy market is just a few blocks away! Oh, and almost every type of shop within walking distance at your convenience. I would also mentioned the Parker restaurant is great for breakfast, be careful though, the seats are so comfortable you may just want to lounge right there at your table. Say hi to Jackie, Lillian or Cesar - they’re really great servers who will attend to what you need. Also, I recommend to you end your day at The Last Hurrah, enjoy some good drinks, conversation, some simple but delicious bar food and take a Boston Cream Pie with you! Say hi to Francesco, Scott, Peggy, Andrew, Ryan, & Alejandro - they’re gonna make you feel welcomed. The staff have been very nice and helpful, I’m happy to have connected with some great people and to have stayed at the center of the universe for Boston! Cheers! Read less

When we went back in March, we found that although things were not quite back to normal, they were much better. A housekeeper tidied up our room every day, and the restaurant was open for breakfast and lunch. Moreover, the service throughout the hotel was exceptionally good. We arrived early--around noon--and were surprised and delighted that we could occupy our room immediately. The desk clerk, Manny, even told us a good place nearby where we could get lunch (the Beantown Pub). That was just the start of three delightful days at the hotel, which has now become our go-to place in Boston. Read less

Had a small room suitable for one person - very comfortable. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was great, and the bath products were nice. Plus, the fabulous bathrobe was great for a person who travels extra-light. The staff were extra special. Mohammed checked me in, was very friendly, and answered questions later. The Bell Captain ( sorry I didn’t ask his name) gave us excellent suggestions for lunch (Emmett’s) and breakfast (The FillaBuster). The hotel is right near a stop for the Red and Green Lines, making it simple to get around. (Definitely try the FillaBuster - family owned, counter service, great food.) The Omni is my go-to choice in Boston, with great deals during the off-season Read less

First, every employee we ran into during our 3 day stay was awesome. They were always friendly and very helpful. The lobby is beautiful and welcoming. We stayed in a suite with 2 queen beds. The space was adequate in the living area and bedroom, the bathroom was very tiny making it difficult to maneuver. The problem was that all the furniture was very worn and dirty. The couch was all slouched and the foot panels were filthy, the coffee table was chipped showing the neglect of the the room. The tub had a huge chip in it - like a foot by six inches. I understand the beauty of the Parker House is its history and the furniture adds to that - however I could not get past the worn, chipped and dirty aspects. I stayed here about 8 years ago and though the same thing but assumed an update would have been done which was why I did not hesitate to stay again. The location and the employees are great, but I will not be visiting again simply due to the condition of the rooms. Read less
