The room would have served better as dungeon with no daylighting, musty smell and in need of updating. The room was also an ADA accessible room. I should have been notified of that at check in and given other options. ........................
Good overall but beware the noise.

Good experience overall. It’s Boston so rooms are small and prices high. Very clean. Outdated TV and reception (on some channels); Last Hurrah bar was fun (and we got coupons for free beer/wine). House restaurant had good, fast breakfast.

Biggest complaint is noise. 2am on first night we were awakened by two hours of outside construction noise. Second night at 2 am it was people in the room next to us - the walls must be paper thin as they were just having conversations like a group of friends yet we could hear every word. Finally had enough and knocked on the wall at 4am and they broke up and went to bed. Easy walk to lots of places.

Comfortable Historic Hotel with Great Staff

Great two-night stay, excellent service, excellent location. Very comfortable and a great base for doing anything in Boston. Historic hotel that maintains its character, but certain room elements could be updated (compensating for low light, nicer mattresses, etc.). All in all a comfortable, restful stay, good value.
Good Location for Boston

Great location to downtown Boston. The room I had was so small but it was meant for a single person. It was fine for one night, but be aware of the room size when booking, if that is important to you. I would stay here again. Staff was very friendly and I love the coffee bars in the hallways.

My husband and I booked a one night stay here because it was close to the So Amtrak station & centrally located to historic Boston sightseeing.
We booked our reservation months in advance using AAA. We didn’t expect additional charges of almost $90 (taxes, fees, etc.)

We’d stayed at this hotel many years ago and remembered it as iconically gorgeous. Sadly , it’s no longer since Omni took operational control. Our room was small, dated and looked ‘tired.’ The bathroom fixtures were puzzling to operate. The bed was way too small for 2 people.
However, our hotel floor maid was extremely generous providing extra coffee packets. The bathroom amenities were first rate- Nest brand soaps, lotions & hair products.
I can’t begin to explain how disappointing our experience was and want travelers to know what they can expect if they think they’re getting any first rate treatment.
