Right in the heart of Old Boston. On the Freedom Trail and one block from Boston Commons and the Public Gardens. History abounds here having hosted famous writers, politicians, and foreign dignitaries. Home of Boston Cream Pie.

Wow! Just wow! I was planning a family summer vacation trip to Maine from Florida and flights were remarkably cheaper to fly into Boston than anywhere in Maine so I changed the trip to add 3 days in Boston first after reading about the history of the Omni Parker and am so glad I did! From the friendly and prompt greeting from the Bellman to the quick checkin in and amazing old time feel decor I was instantly transported back in time. The lobby is spectacular! We had a 2 double room with seating area and it was enough space for my family of 4. Housekeeping was so sweet and efficient. The beds are small and bouncy but we slept well. It was very quiet on the 10th floor despite my 8 year old’s story of ghosts at night (we did a ghost tour lol). The hotel is right in the middle of everything, we walked everywhere except a train to Salem (N station is about 12 mins away). 5 mins to Fanuiel Hall, 10 to Harborside, 15 to North End with kids in tow. We felt very safe walking the city and there are folks everywhere to give historical information at those areas (sorry I forget if they are like city docents?). I was so sad to check out! We will be back in the future! Read less

Stayed here for 5 days in early July. The location was great if you are here for sightseeing. Location is probably the only selling point of this hotel. It is near tourist sites, restaurants, boston common, and two train stations. Lobby is decent and spacious with lots of space for all the conference attendees of the conferences they have. It is also a stop on the freedom trail tour and popular for conferences so expect this area to be busy. Staff is helpful, nice, courteous especially the bellhops. As of this post all hotel food establishments including room service remain closed. But restaurants are nearby. Rooms are terrible/poorly maintained. Our Tub did not drain while you shower so you are standing in backed up water. Toilet flooded at the base whenever flushed. Tiles in the bathroom were almost eroded through in the shower. Tub had finishing cracks. Grout cracks throughout the bathroom including the sink/wall connection part. Walls are thin so when there’s a dog and/or loud person on your floor you can hear them 24/7. Room finishings and furniture are worn down. Based on the closet and the wear on furniture I would assume room has not been ipgraded since 1960/70. We paid too much for room. My review would have more stars if yhe hotel was priced for a 2-3 star instead of a 4-5 star hotel. Read less
