She explained all the facilities and discounts I would receive while staying there. She was helpful when I asked questions, friendly, charismatic, and polite. The customer service I received at the restaurant, bar, and store exceeded any other place I have stayed in recently. Hotel was clean and tidy. The fitness room had a variety of equipment. Breakfast was delicious and dinner was fantastic. Five stars. And would stay again. Read less

The hotel is very good. The crew are kind and friendly, willing to support the stay. The hotel has a nice vibe and is very well located. The restaurant is also quite good. The room was amazing. There was a large and comfortable bed. Hotel is located close to several shops and restaurants. It also easily accessible by metro (two lines).

The room has seen better days and was in dire need of a renovation. First of all, the bathroom was unprofessionally (unsafely) finished: the floor of the shower was tiled in glossy tile, customarily used only for walls, which resulted in a very slippery shower floor. There was no rubber mat so I had to use a towel for safer footing. Secondly, the… Read more

There was no rubber mat so I had to use a towel for safer footing. Secondly, the sink was so close to the opposite wall that I had to lead over it from the side. The room was depressingly old and sad. There was a coffee machine, but no coffee. At 8:45 AM the following morning, the cleaning service began banging on my door to clean it. Check out time was not until 11:00. All in all, a very disappointing experience, which could have been avoided by the hotel management. Read less

My room was small but fine for a single traveller. It was very comfortable and I liked some of the more retro features, such as the funny spring devise that the makes the light in the wardrobe come on. The bathroom was clean and the water pressure was surprisingly good. I was tired after travelling, so had a good night's sleep. The next day, I had breakfast in the breakfast room, which was very nice and used my voucher from check-in to get a tea in the little shop. My only criticism is that my room was right next to the room with the ice machine in it, and that hummed away through the night. You cannot beat the location of this hotel, it is minutes walk from all of the sights of downtown Boston. I travelled from here to Boston airport and that was really easy, with just a ten-minute walk to South Station for the Silver Line. Before I left, I went up to the ballroom and admired the beautiful views across Boston Harbour and Boston Common. Everyone who worked here was so lovely. Yes, it is a little frayed around the edges, but it's a really lovely hotel. Read less
