The hotel

In the thriving Seaport District, this feature-packed hotel’s just steps from one of neighbourhood’s biggest draws, The Lawn on D. The outside comes in at The Westin Boston Seaport District too, with its lobby greeting you with natural stone and wood, a vertical garden, and leafy trees. Delve deeper and you’ll find 4 bars and restaurants, each sharing its own take on all-American dining: there’s the contemporary slant at Sauciety, the Irish-American pub twist at MJ O’Connor’s, American grill favourites at Birch Bar, and local light bites at City Bar. When you’ve had your fill of the food, the Westin’s Laugh Boston comedy club presents local and national acts. And, if Boston’s sightseeing highlights don’t eat up every second of your trip, there’s always the indoor pool and whirlpool, fitness studio, and group runs guided by a ‘RunWESTIN Concierge’.

The best things about this hotel are the well-equipped gym, a really great breakfast restaurant and buffet, and amazing staff. Yingmei, in particular, is so kind and helpful. She takes amazing care of us and always makes us feel so welcome and at home. We stay here very often and being served by her is the highlight that keeps us coming back.

We booked directly through the Westin website and when we arrived they did not honor the price. At 6 PM the night of our stay, we were forced to find a new hotel. The management was not accommodating, actually leaving us without any accommodations. Beyond upsetting! Highly recommend staying elsewhere, many other newer better and friendlier hotels… Read more

The hotel is conveniently located and connects to the Boston Convention Center. The hotel seemed very safe with underground parking available, although it is $44 per day. The room was little worn and needed updating including the mattress. The bed was not comfortable. I think the room may have been a handicapped room which I did not need or request. Pillows and the chair in the room were comfortable. The room had an awful odor (possibly bad incense or body odor) the entire week and you could not open the windows to air the room out. Hotel personnel did go out of their way to help guests and accommodate special requests. If the room and mattress were updated and the room did not smell, I would have given the hotel a higher rating. Read less

I met a helpful lady named Ying Mei at the breakfast buffet. She recommended me to a few nice places of interest when she saw me studying the Boston map. I am really glad to have this encounter here at a busy city.
