The air conditioning was poor as multiple calls with long delays to address to rectify if finally resulted in engineering to adjust the temperature . The location was in Back Bay Area which is a great location with great restaurants two blocks over along Newbury street . Car valet took 25 minutes to retrieve my vehicle as there was only one employee working the area . I have stayed at many Westin properties worldwide at was disappointed in this stay . I will continue using Westin properties at other locations Read less

It is September 2020. We are deep in the pandemic and the world is not as we knew it. If you are on your way into Boston, please note that it is a city not lax on mask-wearing. EVERYONE wears a mask. It is September 2020. We are deep in the pandemic and the world is not as we knew it. If you are on your way into Boston, please note that it is a city not lax on mask-wearing. EVERYONE wears a mask. I did not see a single person without a mask on the street or in the hotel the entire time I was there. Fines to be on the street without a mask are in the hundreds. In conclusion: PACK THAT MASK! There is a wonderful partnership between the Westin and Northeastern University (to their mutual benefit) in an attempt to mitigate COVID-19 (and I say BRAVO to that). That said, you should know that there are 800 freshman-18-year-old college students living in the Westin for fall term 2020. What does this mean for us non-students? It means socially-distancing-queuing-up for elevators that can only have 4 passengers. It is extremely unlikely you will have an issue with parties. While we were there, eleven students were thrown-out...of not only the Westin, but out of their school for violating the "no-party" rules. I truly believe it was a lesson for the remaining students. If you are considering a stay at the Westin in the autumn of 2020, you may rest-assured your stay will be a peaceful one. You should know that there is no room-service, but there are take-away and delivery (contactless drops in the lobby) options if you aren't comfortable going to restaurants. I do have two comments for Westin that would both increase their revenue and increase guest satisfaction: 1. Put microwaves in the rooms and stock a shop with frozen items. Winter is coming and it will be increasingly more difficult (uncomfortable) to walk around the neighborhood get a meal if a guest doesn't want to go to restaurants during the pandemic (like me). 2. Bring your F&B employees back and do contactless-room-service (knock and leave) with a limited menu on all-disposable materials. I had an excellent experience at a hotel in New York state where the room-service order was delivered on a paper tray-all paper/plastic dinnerware-covered in plastic wrap. I loved it. The hotel showed they value their employees by keeping them employed, and they cared about the guest experience by providing a convenient guest experience. As you've read, the rooms are very nice, clean, the beds are comfortable, and the views are unparalleled. However, there aren't any bathtubs. I want a bathtub in a hotel room. I know there are fewer and fewer bathtubs, but for me, a lovely bath is part of a luxury hotel experience. Unless I am someone's guest at a property...or I'm dashing in and out between flights...a bathtub is a non-negotiable for me. Finally, a note to TripAdvisor. You need more There is a long way between "average" and "very good." (Unlike the distance between "terrible" and "poor." The Westin is much better than "average, " but it would be pushing it to say it was "VERY good." Read less

I was very disappointed with my stay at the Westin Copley Place hotel. I picked this hotel primarily because of the status of Marriott hotels have. I felt as if I was in a 2 star hotel instead of a 4 star as advertised. Room was just okay. When I walked into room it looked like it was rushed to be cleaned bedding was lumpy, the comfort of the bed for sleeping was not the best as well. The Amenities such as 1 bottle of water left in the room when 2 guests was registered where we supposed to share I just left the water for the next guest. For a 3 night stay a small bottle of body wash 1 bath soap and hand soap for the sink. Small bottle of shampoo and conditioner. Limited towels and washcloth. Your hotel is stating 4 stars for 2 star service. Now for the college kids staying at the hotel. It was a Nuisance waiting for elevators, stopping at every floor and telling the students no you can’t get in because of the 4 limit to elevator. I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel and would never recommend it. I expected so much more. BTW this is the same hotel that was on the news for the students getting expelled for PARTYING AND NOT SOCIAL DISTANTING! Read less
