Wyndham Boston Beacon Hill

The hotel

This high-rise hotel has all the luxuries of an urban retreat but all the charms of its historic location. Its address also puts you just a block from Charles River Plaza, and within walking distance of Boston Common, Faneuil Marketplace, and the downtown dining, shopping and entertainment spots. Not satisfied with just being super-central, the Wyndham Beacon Hill has come up with plenty of its own distractions: on top of complimentary WiFi, it offers the artisan-meets-casual-American cooking of The Dean’s List restaurant, and a swanky seasonal swimming pool, complete with a serene sundeck giving you views of Boston and the waterfront.

A well located hotel near the Massachusetts General Hospital and the popular Charles Street, the Boston Commons park, and the Quency Marquet. The building is colonial style, but it requires extensive modernization. For European standards, it is expensive for the quality and services provided.

I travel for work and personal a lot and this is the first time a hotel has charged me $25 for arriving two hours early. Either the room is ready or it’s not. The hotel itself is fine. But with a lot of other “fine” if not lots better hotels in the area at the same price, why not stay at those and not some place that is after every nickel and… Read more

Overall, not worth what I paid for it and all the little fees on top of it just made it worse. Read less

We stayed for 5 days, the hotel is not luxurious but its service was very good and its location PERFECT. You have the subway 2 blocks away and you can go everywhere from there. They provided a crib for our baby. We arrived early and we had to pay extra for a early check-in

I needed a location near MGH pre surgery. It is across the street with a variety of restaurants nearby. It was safe for my wife to go back and forth to the hospital during my stay and close to the self parking spot. Could have had some better directions to stay indoors to get to the lot. Lobby is dated and not warm feeling, but room was very nice,… Read more
I needed a location near MGH pre surgery. It is across the street with a variety of restaurants nearby. It was safe for my wife to go back and forth to the hospital during my stay and close to the self parking spot. Could have had some better directions to stay indoors to get to the lot. Lobby is dated and not warm feeling, but room was very nice, clean and had a large bathroom. We looked over mgh so we did here the ambulances coming in over the night but maybe it was just that we were not sleeping. Bed was fine and desk personal were freindly. Although we did not use the valet, he went out of his way to show us how to get to the lot so we could get tge $15 day mgh rate instead of the hotels $52 a day rate. A real savings since I was in the hospital for 5 days. Read less
