The hotel

The Kimpton is a great place to stay at Huntington Beach with a perfect location. Danny at the front desk was very helpful and made sure we got the best room with the best view. When we come to Huntington Beach we love staying here at the Kympton!

This hotel is a must stay for anyone with a dog! Incredibly dog friendly and the whole staff was wonderful. Great location right across the street from the beach. The restaurant was great and Shaeye was wonderful and gave us great recommendations on the menu!

Great coffee bar in the mornings, and Arnold Palmer bar in the afternoons. We booked a room on the 4th floor (458) with a great little patio (seating for 4). They have complimentary beach cruisers too! The beach is across PCH but a short easy walk. Lots of restaurants and bars and shops within walking distance and many are pet friendly on the patios. The only thing I wish was different was there is no grass within two blocks of the hotel. So potty breaks are difficult (ours is only 17 wks old). If you exit the hotel and go left, cross the first street there is a sandy sidewalk area you can use in a pinch. Continue left down the street one block and go right and you’ll find a little grass. You can request Dyson hair dryers, dog bowls and beds, they have a great mini bar, and the restaurant is very good (also dog friendly on the patio). Staff was great and very helpful. Dog beach is a 4-5 minute drive up the road. There are no dogs allowed on the Huntington Beach across the street. We spent most days at the dog beach or at Newport Beaches. Dogs allowed before 9 am and after 4:30p. We started out with a two night rez and extended to 6! Read less

The daily coffee time, lemonade and tea bar, happy hours, and smores at night are just a few little extras that this place offers, and we didn’t even take advantage of the beach prep that they take off your plate!
