The hotel

The kids will be wowed by the grand castle entry from the minute you pull up at this hotel, and the Disney magic doesn't end there. With a complimentary shuttle - the 'Dream Machine' - running every 30 minutes to Disneyland Resort®, which is actually walkable too, this is the ideal base to visit the crown jewel of California theme parks, and the main man Mickey himself. The themed hotel sits across 13 acres of lush gardens, adding to the castle theme, with cute courtyards and ponds offering that sense of tranquillity - just moments from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks! You can grab a cold drink from the Garden Court Bistro and relax in the outdoor seating area, soak off in the pool, or simply sit amongst the greenery with a good book, because not every minute needs to be 'go, go, go'. Another bonus is the size of the rooms! The largest in the area - giving families ample room to relax after a busy day. With plenty of family friendly dining options, and a games room to boot - this fairytale look hotel is a timeless favourite for all ages.

This place has gone down hill. This was our third but last visit. We booked it via Expedia which you get special ‘vip’ treatment. You really don’t. You get a 20% off hotel food in 2 places that were never seton when we was interested. We were out in the garden tower the other side of the hotel. When I asked why, the miserable lady on the front desk said ‘that’s what you booked’. Expedia asked me if I got my upgrade 😂😂 The place is really tired and dirty. Perhaps stop with the princess stuff in the lobby and clean the carpets. We had 3 nights there and there was dirty glasses outside the room for the whole stay, not even ours! There is no house cleaning unless you pay extra. The cafe in the lobby was good for pancakes (think from the restaurant) but the ladies didn’t really talk and the breakfast burritos were disgusting! The bus to and from the park was terrible old buses we just got an Uber as it was easier and safer. We used to like this hotel but it really needs a good clean and a retrain of the front desk staff as the dark haired lady really needs another job! Read less

While we didn't get to meet Princess Corinne during storytime in the Lobby, we had a magical stay. The themed Lobby was charmingly decorated for Christmas with some Thanksgiving displays also in evidence. The hotel is actually quite large and we enjoyed exploring the gardens and pool area. The hallways are wide and rooms are nice and large. We enjoyed the Castle theme of our room and its view of the pool. It had every amenity we needed, including refrigerator and coffeemaker, a dining table and comfortable chair. The mattresses were so comfortable which is nice after a day spent on your feet in Disneyland. The free Shuttle was fantastic, too. There were two luggage racks and a safe, and the bathroom was very well lighted with a makeup mirror as well. There was no body lotion or shower cap provided, but perhaps this was an oversight. The shower was perfectly fine, clean and with plenty of hot water. Our happiest surprise was the unexpected value of the dining options. This was by far the best value for dining near Disneyland. Happy Hour runs from 4 pm - 7 pm, with a large menu. We dined on a Tuesday so we enjoyed the $8 spicy soft chicken tacos and a few other happy hour appetizers. We also dined for breakfast and enjoyed that, too. The Buffet is $19.95, another great value and had everything we wanted... eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, french toast, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, pastries and breads, salad, juices, coffee. We also had the huevos rancheros which was delicious. Again, another great dining value which pleasantly surprised us. This hotel was charming and had a lot of character. We would absolutely stay here again! Read less

Subpar hotel. Check in was cursory, after we were acknowledged. Front desk staff act like they have far more important tasks than checking in guests. We asked to put luggage in bell desk, so we would not miss the shuttle, and the employee rolled their eyes and acted like it was a disservice to help us. So rude. Rooms are extremely tired and outdated. Bathrooms are motel 6 quality, that’s being generous. Water pressure is nonexistent, toiletries are subpar, and no fresh towels are offered unless you call the front desk. Who wants to do that after being treated rudely. The bed is grossly uncomfortable, so hard it’s impossible to get comfortable which is not a welcome place to sleep after walking at the parks all day. Lighting in the room in almost non-existent (half of our bed lights didn’t even work) Overall take is this hotel is in transition, and hasn’t worked out the kinks. Transit drivers were kind, and fairly punctual. It’s a nice service to have when the park entrance is quite a distance. Based on this experience, we would not stay here again. Read less

Got an email from them for $194 a night special through the holidays. Reservations said they couldn’t honor it because it was an automated email. Talked to management and they said because of the peak hours of the holiday and the dates we were going to stay, it would be at a higher rate. Well why send me an email for $194 a night if the dates… Read more

Talked to management and they said because of the peak hours of the holiday and the dates we were going to stay, it would be at a higher rate. Well why send me an email for $194 a night if the dates at the bottom of the email are for the dates we want to stay and are valid for this email. Doesn’t make sense. Honor your promos correctly Majestic. It’s not right. That’s why I gave this one star. Read less
