Anaheim Marriott

We stayed for a week at the Marriot Anaheim and really enjoyed our stay. The service was excellent, every member of staff were really personal, always sniling and no request was too much. We had a Disney facing balcony room, really comfortable with all amenities provided and of good quality. Around a 20 minute walk to Disney, or you can buy daily or 3 day passes for bus service which runs approximately every 20 mins. Excellent views from the balcony, although they could provide more privacy as neighbours on balcony can see into the room. Can see the top of the Disney fireworks show but not all as the Hilton blocks the view. They do have a pool but we didn’t use as headed for the beach, lots of orange county beaches around d 20-30 mins drive away and the drive to Santa Monica around d an hour subject to traffic. Excellent WiFi connection in room and throughout the complex (free for Marriot bonvoy customer and there is a charge for others), good choice of channels on tv and you can stream from phone if you want or connect to Netflix on tv. Valet parking $42 a day and self parking $35 a day, which I thought could be less, especially for Marriot Bonvoy gold elite customers which we are. Pictures from Laguna beach attached. Read less

We stayed at the Anaheim Marriott at the recommendation and guidance from family. In hindsight, the Anaheim Marriott was a great stay that served us well for our Disneyland agenda. For starters, the location of the Anaheim Marriott is ideal. While not technically next to the Disneyland Resort theme parks, the Marriott here is about a city block away which is walkable (if you're worried about walking, I believe the hotel valet is able to call shuttle services for you that take you directly to the shuttle stops at the theme park entrance just prior to the security check). From the Marriott, we used two different walking paths to get to the Disneyland theme parks. The first was by cutting through/around the Anaheim convention center, walking along Katella Avenue, and making a right on Disneyland Drive toward Downtown Disney. Taking this route is more suited for actually visiting the stores and restaurants at Downtown Disney. The second route was to take Convention Way from the hotel and making a left on Harbor Boulevard to the opposite entrance to Downtown Disney. This route gets you to the theme parks a lot quicker from the Marriott. Aside from the theme parks, the Anaheim Marriott is located in an almost faux-cul-de-sac with the Hilton and Clarion. We found that this area was tucked away and comfortably quiet and peaceful. Located next to the Anaheim Convention Center, the Marriott makes a perfect stay for those in the area for conferences, forums, and other events. What stands out at this property are the amenities available here. The Anaheim Marriott has a great outdoor pool facility that is accompanied with a hot tub. Part of the pool has overhead cover from the elements. Lounging chairs surround the pool before it is enclosed with a security gate/fence. There is a bar and restaurant that gives access to the outdoor/pool area that offers outdoor seating. Indoors, the bar and restaurant provides quite a robust selection of liquors, spirits, and beer on tap to accompany a menu of different eats. If the food from the restaurant is not your thing, there is also a pizzeria down the hall, as well as a marketplace with to-go food, snacks, beverages, and made-to-order beverages. There is an indoor store that offers a wide range of essentials, from over-the-counter medicine to other local goods and of course Disney-themed products. This is perhaps the most robust hotel store we've seen. In addition to these, there is a well-maintained fitness center that offers number treadmills, Peletons, free weights, machines (leg press, leg extensions, cable machine, Smith machine, Lat-pulldown machine), various benches, TRX, kettlebells, etc. There is an on-site laundry room on the second floor that operates with credit card ($5 for one load in washer, and $5 for one load in dryer) while providing a vending machine for generic, non-scented detergent and dryer sheets. The staff here is incredibly friendly and helpful. They have a great team here at the Anaheim Marriott to ensure that your stay and trip is worth the effort! Read less

Great hotel for us for a quick Disneyland stop. All three of us enjoyed the pool and there are multiple restaurants in the lobby. We enjoyed the hotel Starbucks/shop with many breakfast options in the lobby for an early breakfast before we hit the parks. Hot and cold options available. Great pool, large safe area to meet Uber, very clean and great pool space. 7-10 minute walk to Disneyland security or a 5-7$ Uber ride. Read less
