The hotel

You couldn't stay any closer to Disneyland Resort California without being in Sleeping Beauty's castle! Right in the heart of the action, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel is the perfect base to explore all of the parks - you even have your own private entrance to Disney California Adventure Park. The hotel has an American Craftsman style that gives it a warm and cosy feel, especially when you're curled up by the fire with a drink in the Hearthstone Lounge at the end of an action packed day in the parks. If you're in the mood for a relaxing day, rent a poolside cabana and soak up the Californian sun, a server will be on hand to tend to all your food and drink needs. And when evening comes, pop across to Downtown Disney and catch a show or some live music, you'll be spoilt for choice.

My husband and I enjoyed 3 days and 2 nights at this Disneyland hotel. The location can't be beat for easy access to all things Disneyland. We parked our rental car in the self-park ($40/night) and didn't need it the entire time we were there. We parked our rental car in the self-park ($40/night) and didn't need it the entire time we were there. It was awesome being able to come back to our room in the middle of the day to change after a wet water ride or to take a short break from all of the rides. The room (a king standard) was spacious, had a sofa trundle bed we didn't use (but looked comfortable, even for an adult) and a lovely bathroom. We appreciated the double sinks and the rain shower was divine. The resort had several pools we did not make time for, a laundry facility, a fitness center, and multiple restaurant options on site. We would definitely stay here again. Read less

We used the recommended shuttle bus Karmel (separate cost) to take us from LAX straight to the Grand and they were great and reliable. We were all blown away by The Grand, it’s costly but it was worth it. From front desk, housing keeping, security guards, room service and people working on the grounds. The room had enough space for our family of 5, beds were very comfortable, bathroom was very clean, never had to wait longer than a minute for an elevator, pools were very nice, they had everything we needed, towels sunscreen, chaise lounges. The room blocked out the noise from outside as we had pool facing views. The advantages of early access and ability to walk to and from Disneyland and DCA as well as Downtown Disney was very convenient especially with kids needing to take breaks. We highly recommend this hotel for families with children Read less

We had a great experience! Location is amazing. We had a downtown Disney view room and I was worried that the noise would keep us awake but it was well sound proofed. The pools were great and the service was excellent. Can’t wait for our next trip!

This hotel is just OK- the room seemed older and the bathroom always smelled like mildew. The toilet ran and wouldn’t stop. We asked for someone to come and fix it and we were in and out of the room so I don’t think anyone ever came, it ran the whole time we stayed in the room. The location can’t be beat but the mildew smell and the room being… Read more

We asked for someone to come and fix it and we were in and out of the room so I don’t think anyone ever came, it ran the whole time we stayed in the room. The location can’t be beat but the mildew smell and the room being older and just dark inside with the decor wouldn’t make me come back. Definitely not worth more than 200 a night and we paid way more than that. The staff was friendly and nice, but the room was very lacking. Read less
