The pool terrace is spacious with plenty of areas to relax after a long day of sightseeing, theres a fire pit for cooler nights, and the pool itself is the largest in Beverly Hills. After working up an appetite you can head to CIRCA 55 for casual dining, but there’s lots of choice nearby too.

Beverly Hilton My stay at this beautiful historic hotel has been a great disappointment!  It’s the service and the details that lacks terribly.  My room, number 132 looked bleak.  It looked out to an outdoor staircase. An atmosphere for guests is created by hanging a plant, picture and accent with a light.  Just a suggestion. Inside my room is another story.  My husband, on our first evening sat at the desk chair.  The chair was broken and dropped down.  Needless to say he gripped the desk to balance himself not to fall to the floor.  The next morning I reported the incident to the front desk.  The man was lovely and said he would take care of it.  This was on Tuesday morning.  After a long day out with my family, I returned to my room to find a bill from housekeeping for mini bar/snack bar use, an open water and half eaten Kit Kat among other items I was charged for.  I immediately called the from desk and spoke to the manager Paloma, as we were concerned for our safety and personal belongings.  Someone was in our room and ate the items and left the trash behind.  The manager Paloma said she was going to investigate the situation and said she would get back to me, she never did. I asked if the chair had been fixed and Paloma assured me it was taken care of, perhaps the service worker had the snack party in my room.  I went back to my room and as I was telling my husband about the management response, he sat on the chair and dropped back down.  He is a young looking 76 year old man but complained about his hip after this collapse.  He went to take a warm shower and lay down.  During his shower, I complained and housekeeping brought me another chair.  Didn’t match and looked like someone’s desk chair to be done with us.  The service and details are truly lacking.  They rooms are made up daily but not cleaned.  My daughter and her family are in room 130 and also commented about our room.  The chair next to the bed doesn’t have an accent pillow and you sink into it, while my daughters does.  The beds are made quickly with uneven sheets and no detail, the same for the towels.  I look out to cookies on the awning outside my room and my daughter looks out to a hotel wash cloth on the awning (I have a photo) The pool is beautiful but the cushions are stained.  The toilet in my daughter’s room sounds like a symphony every time you flush it.  She recorded how is whistles for about 30 seconds, loudly and throughout the room.  I feel like my stay here is a punishment.  Maybe I just expected too much.  On Wednesday, I informed the front desk that The Ritz Carlton was sending me a package.  As I returned at the end of another day out with my family, I checked in to see if the package was put in my room or at the front desk.  The woman was short with me.  I showed her my phone and told her who signed for it.  She said she didn’t know where my package was and asked if my name was on it.  Again I showed her the Fed Ex tracking with my named on it from the Ritz and the hotel employee that signed for it.  She basically sent me away and told me she would look into it.  I never heard the follow up from the mini bar situation and didn’t want the same thing to happen to my package.  I called the hotel operator, Audrey.  She assured me not to worry, located my package and had it sent to my room in minutes.  Thank you Audrey!  This morning, Thursday, I informed the front desk to please have housekeeping service our rooms. I was told at check in that if we want our rooms made up daily that we must inform the front desk.  It also says this on the hotel website.  Everyday I have done this but this morning the woman with no name tag lectured me that the hotel is a full service hotel and I don’t need to tell her to have the room serviced by housekeeping.  I just can’t take the disorganized service at this establishment.  It is not the service my family and so are used to receiving and a terrible disappointment.  The management has poor communication.  They initially reach out but there is no follow up.  Honestly, my family and I just can’t believe this hotel represents the Hilton model.  It’s unfortunate that we were stuck here and look forward to early checkout on Sunday morning August 14th. On another note, the valet service is wonderful. They are kind, courteous and very professional. The Bellhop Staff are Professional. And the Restaurant Staff are Wonderful in Circa 55. Read less

So great to have the lobby bar back and better than ever. I had the best drinks, service and food (burger!) at the Lobby Bar. Jonathan and especially helpful late one night. I also want to thank the Director of Rooms, Casey Curtis, who always makes sure I get the perfect room. The Beverly Hilton continues to be a destination in Los Angeles! Read less

We have been well advised at checkin and upgraded to Cabana room. I was unhappy with the change of rooms so receptionist lady made an very appreciated gesture concerning parking. Cabana rooms are Sinking and dirty, air conditioning loud and old. But this area (cabanas and swimming pool) is the only place with a minimum charm. So I would suggest. The biggest problem of hotel is the very long service. Not the fault of servers. They’re nice and doing their best. Probably the kitchen has little capacity compare to crowd. So we waited too long for each breakfast and dinner. Finally at check out we discovered that with Hilton when you book and pay a room BREAKFAST INCLUDED, actually it is not exactly what it’s meant. But coucher says BREAKFAST INCLUDED, no limitation or disclaimer even written in small typos. No. BREAKFAST INCLUDED. But at check out I wasted 15 minutes and gave up arguing with a young and unexperienced lady. I check out without settling. We’ll see. It’s peanuts compare to what we paid. But I don’t like to be cheated even for a penny. Read less

Stay Report - 7/17 to 7/20 Location: Worked very well for my purposes.  I was with my family seeing the All Star Game at Dodger Stadium and I went down to San Pedro one day.  It's an easy drive to LAX with no traffic and its proximity to the 405 and the 10 make getting around fairly easy as long as you don't hit traffic.  Nearby are a bunch of restaurants and bars as well as other high end hotels (The Peninsula, the Waldorf Astoria) so you can find plenty to do around. Hotel: I was much more impressed with the hotel and grounds than I expected to be.  While the hotel is old its actually very pleasant to be in.  The lobby is well lit, there's a lovely bar at the pool level along with the pool itself being a nice area to spend time in and the pool side restaurant is great.  The hallways are pleasant too and there were no waits for elevators.  Room: We had two kings and one with two queens. The two king rooms were much nicer with a separate sofa.  The two queen room I was in was definitely tight on space and had nowhere to sit and work besides a small table with a single chair.  Also several of the outlets including the ones near the bed were broken.  Surprisingly the room has a mini bar but no coffee maker.  There was a nice little balcony though.  Dining: Service at breakfast was great and they have a decent menu.  The Diamond credit covers the Continental at least.  Service: One massively negative note.  I wanted my coat dry cleaned.  I called Monday night and was told it would be picked up: no one came.  I sent it out Tuesday morning and then it wasn't returned as promised.  I had to call down after getting back from the game and someone had to track it down for me.  As this is a paid service I was left pretty annoyed. Minus the issue with the coat the stay overall was very good.  I'd be back.  Read less

We only stayed one night but the service and room was great for an older hotel. Great history and location! The staff was friendly and helpful. The property is beautiful! We would definitely stay here again.
