The hotel

Anywhere that greets you with freshly cooked chocolate chip cookies on arrival gets our vote! Modern in style with a relaxed ambience, this is ideal for those wanting to be within easy distance of all downtown attractions. Towering 21 stories above the city, there’s some great views to be had as well as plenty of home-from-home comforts. Eats and drinks can be found close by but don’t forget to try the hotel’s own Justice Urban Tavern, a gastro pub serving Asian-inspired Californian cuisine. Rendezvous Lounge is another fine place to relax with five flat screen TVs and a full bar. Happy hour is 4:00pm-7:00pm daily so why not indulge in a cocktail or two? Last but by no means least, we want to mention the half-acre Kyoto Gardens on the third floor terrace – boasting waterfalls, ponds and a skyline view of the city, it really does offer that all-important Zen experience.

We stayed here as part of group and the experience by all was terrible. Dirty rooms with cob webs, hair in the tub and between the sheets. An indifferent staff, especially the front desk. There are so many other choices in the area so please look elsewhere.

The rooms were maybe that of a motel or less. The air conditioning didn’t work and it was 90 degrees outside and 80 degrees in the room (asked the front desk since we have a 5 month old baby, but they didn’t do anything except say theyd ask someone to look into it). The hallway floors smelled like mold and smoke. This is the worst hotel I’ve… Read more

This is an old, tall hotel and the design reeks of another era. That said they have remodeled the hotel and the ambience is nice if not a bit sterile.
