A Hollywood hangout with noteworthy neighbours, this LA bolthole’s just a block from the theme park heaven of Universal Studios, and just a subway trip from the star-studded sidewalk of Hollywood Boulevard. That hasn’t stopped Hilton Los Angeles Universal City coming up with a few extra treats of its own though – our favourite being FIVE on the Hill, where you can enjoy signature dishes and freshly-curated cocktails with Hollywood Hills in the background. Most make a beeline straight for Universal Studios – and, despite it being just around the corner, there’s a complimentary shuttle to save you walking (great for hot days!). And, while you’re there, you can also take in a movie, grab cocktails or craft beers, hit big-name shops, and dine at celeb-chef eateries in the neon lustre of Universal CityWalk.

The staff were friendly and helped with any issues. Room was clean and comfortable for a family of 4. Buffet breakfast had a good variety.
Typical good standard for the Hilton franchise. Close proximity to Universal Theme Park with regular shuttles to Hollywood Bvld as well.
Go see Rosendo!

We stayed here at the Hilton Los Angeles after Labor Day. We chose this hotel for our one night stay as it was closest to Universal and with a 5 month old, it would be most convenient. Booked the room online with a corner King room(864). Received email confirmations right up to the day before that allowed me to check in online and even select a room. I loved that as I was able to find a corner room that looked over at the park, not high up, but still a fun view. We did request a crib for the baby.
My family flew into Burbank airport and we called the hotel from there to ask if we could check in early. They were able to accommodate us. When we pulled up to the hotel, the Valet and Bell crew was very friendly and helpful to get our items out of the car and up to the room. I am old school and like to go to the front desk, though we had the option of the Digital Key (we didn't use it). The front desk associate said they would tell housekeeping to bring up the crib (it was in the notes). We got to the room, it was really good size, large bathroom, King Bed, A/C worked great on this 100º+ weekend, and put our cold items in the fridge.
We left to go to the park, caught the shuttle which was easy even with the stroller. They had a rack on the back for scooters or strollers. It drops you off at the City walk and a short walk to the park gates. We got lucky coming back and waited only about 2 minutes for the shuttle. (free). When we got back to the room the crib wasn't there, I tried calling guest services, but no one answered. Turns out the phones are a bit outdated and you cannot dial the services direct, only 0. But nothing on the phone said that. (truly my only complaint). Stopped at the front desk and they called again to request the crib. It was there when we got back from dinner.
We did self park, it was easy and plenty of parking spots. We went and looked at the pool, but didn't use it. The Seafood Buffet looks good, cost was $149 per person. We had other plans. Second day, my kids went to the park and I stayed with the baby in the room. Again I called and asked if we could have a little extra time in the room. Check out was at 11am and they gave us an extra hour til noon. The kids were already packed so I just called the Bellman to come get the bags at noon. Took the baby and walked around the lobby, Nice and cool. Everyone at the property was super helpful, friendly, courteous and professional.
Overall it was a really great stay. The room was clean and very comfortable. The bed was soft and comfy. And the A/C worked great so we were happy with that. King room also had a sleeper sofa. We will stay here again for future visits to Universal park.
