Hilton Los Angeles-Universal City

Hollywood, Los Angeles

Virgin rating

The hotel

A Hollywood hangout with noteworthy neighbours, this LA bolthole’s just a block from the theme park heaven of Universal Studios, and just a subway trip from the star-studded sidewalk of Hollywood Boulevard. That hasn’t stopped Hilton Los Angeles Universal City coming up with a few extra treats of its own though – our favourite being FIVE on the Hill, where you can enjoy signature dishes and freshly-curated cocktails with Hollywood Hills in the background. Most make a beeline straight for Universal Studios – and, despite it being just around the corner, there’s a complimentary shuttle to save you walking (great for hot days!). And, while you’re there, you can also take in a movie, grab cocktails or craft beers, hit big-name shops, and dine at celeb-chef eateries in the neon lustre of Universal CityWalk.

I visited the Hilton for a birthday trip and was helped out by Jhordan. He gave excellent customer service and made my stay memorable. All of the staff here was super nice and welcoming. This hotel is also very conveniently located next to Universal Studios. Overall had a great experience here!

Rooms were spacious clean and views were excellent. There is a shuttle that takes you to the universal city walk which was perfect for my older kids to do some shopping. Checkin was easy and service was good.

We had awesome service with a wonderful lady at the front desk named Linda. She was very caring and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. If we had any questions she knew exactly how to address us. Thank you Linda.

We stayed Nov 30-Dec 2 2023. We checked in after 12am and front desk worker was super friendly/helpful. Hotel location is excellent for visiting Universal Studios. It's a easy approx 5 minute walk to the park security entrance. Hotel is very nice overall. Room was clean and comfortable besides the bed. Only suggestions I would make would be new beds (I could feel springs) and a mirror in the room to get ready when the bathroom is in use. You are definitely paying for the convenience to be close to the park. $40 ample self parking in ramp with in/out privileges. Tip: join Hilton honors for free Wi-Fi. Taxes were about $33 higher than what Expedia had listed. Would definitely recommend and I would stay here again Read less
