In North Hollywood, just minutes from Universal Studios Hollywood℠. Less than 10 minutes drive to the Walk of Fame and a bit further to Beverly Hills. Transfer time from Los Angeles International Airport: 30 minutes (depending on traffic).

257 room and suites. All with a private balcony, air-conditioning, 37" flat-screen TV with access to streaming apps, fridge, bathroom amenities, in-room safe, tea/coffee-making facilities, complimentary WiFi, hairdryer, iron and board (on request). All rooms and balconies are non-smoking. Deluxe Rooms have 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

My husband and I loved our stay at The Garland. The rooms were very clean and stylish. The lobby, pool area, and lounge area had so much character and such a great vibe. The location of the hotel is great. Everyone working there was so friendly and our rooms were cleaned impeccably each day. We will stay here again on our next trip to LA for sure.

Everyone was so very nice and helpful! The rooms and grounds were amazing. Food and drinks were delicious. The free shuttle to and from Universal Studios was great. Definitely recommend staying here if you’re in the area!

Excellent architecture. A well planned refurbishment from the old Howard Johnson. The place illuminates during the day, and also during night time. Reception hall filled with immaculate mid century furniture. Pool side always a cheerful atmosphere. And our room was near perfect. Location wise, not the best of all - albeit the free tram ride to Universal Studios Hollywood, on an hourly basis. Our beef was on the following, although minor in form for improvement: - self laundry opened for 24 hours, however reception did not have change for $1, or $5 notes past midnight. - bathroom drain, choked. The water formed a puddle and it took a while for everything to be drained. - wardrobe space a bit squeezy, and we can’t place a small luggage in it. - walls a bit thin, as we were awaken by a couple’s fight next room. It was pretty loud. Less the beef, we had a good stay. The vibe and warm colours made us rate this stay, still a great one. Oh yes, the SHOP have many awesome California gems to purchase as momentos. Beautiful hotel and facilities. Clean, comfortable rooms, king bed. Friendliest staff: everyone had a smile and kind word, delicious food and drinks, close to other restaurants. Lovely pool area to hang out. Lobby bar and seating area beautifully decorated and cozy.
