Stayed here for a staycation with a girlfriend. Booked at the same time/same price and she was given a marina view room while I had a view of the parking lot. A little disappointed. Rooms need updating.

Quaint, niche hotel in the south bay marina setting. Prime location for beach walking and many amenities nearby. Have stayed there several times and consider this one of my "go to" locations. Would definitely come back.

this hotel is too old. dirty carpet, room has ants, beds and pillow are too soft, walls are too thin, we could hear everything next door say, need to renovate. we paid for late check out at 3pm but the housekeeping knocked on our door at 12pm and 1pm. One thing we do like are the water view. Read less

When we arrived today having just flown in from Aukland, we were told that we had no room regardless of having a voucher. We spent three hours waiting for them to try and find a room for us but nothing in the area. We were then booked into the Hyatt next to LAX airport with no beach just acres of concrete and car park with a full day before returning to UK. Disgusting behaviour on behalf of the hotel who basically could not care less. We feel thoroughly let down, frustrated and trapped as no beach to walk to and aircraft arriving every minute. Read less

We hosted a conference here. I was underwhelmed. I had heard a lot of good things about this property. Perhaps my expectations were too great? We spent a significant amount of money to host the conference here and for guest lodging. The planning process was great. Everything went south upon checkin. There were many problems with rooms. Guests were told they had no reservation, the wrong rooms were given, etc. There was nobody to assist with A/V despite us paying for the A/V technology. There also wasn't an HDMI cord. We asked the hotel staff and they just kept saying "we're looking for one." Meanwhile, the conference is persisting on without the use of the technology. There was a lot that went wrong, it makes me mad just thinking about it. Read less
