After reading the many negative reviews, I was worried about the condition of the hotel, but my stay was excellent, except for the elevator situation. Only one elevator appeared to be working, and there were very long waits. Fortunately we were on the third floor, so except for check-in and check-out, when we had luggage, we were able to use the stairs. Other than that, we enjoyed the stay. The room was large, clean, quiet, and comfortable; the hotel staff we interacted with were helpful and pleasant; and our dinner in the bistro was very good. Service was good, too, despite the fact that our waiter appeared to have a large number of tables and was constantly in motion. We'd definitely stay there again if we need a hotel near LAX. Read less

Looking at the reviews of this Hotel it seems to get a bad rap. This has been my go to Hotel for flight connection layovers since covid travel restrictions lifted in 2021. Looking at the reviews of this Hotel it seems to get a bad rap. This has been my go to Hotel for flight connection layovers since covid travel restrictions lifted in 2021. On previous visits I do agree that problems with the lifts have been an issue however on this trip 3 out of 5 were working and wait for me was no longer that 1-2 mins. Breakfast provided in the restaurant was fine. As a Platinum they allow the full buffet here or you can opt for the healthier option of just granola, fruit and muffin/toast. All staff I have encountered were friendly and a special mention goes to Juan on reception who always greets with a smile and warm welcome. The hotel gym is well equipped with a good range of cardio equipment and some free weights. Would be great to see the Lounge re open but the closed for renovation sign has been on the doors for a couple of years now. I suspect it's more a staffing issue with this. Bus station is located behind the hotel and you can walk it in 5 mins with buses that get you to Santa Monica and other LA destinations. Hotel shuttle every 15-20 mins I think. Read less

Found on Priceline. Hotel is old! Carpet filthy and worn in all areas. Overpriced, certainly doesn’t live up to brand. Definitely wouldn’t recommend, and will not patronize this establishment again. Very Disappointed!

The room seemed clean - although I was surprised the windows weren’t thick soundproof glass due to the proximity to LAX. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked. We flew out on Thursday to check in that night and check out Sunday. Check in was fine. The hotel seemed fine. The room seemed clean - although I was surprised the windows weren’t thick soundproof glass due to the proximity to LAX. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked. Around 545am or so, I think, I know the sun wasn’t visible yet, I was woken up by drums sirens horns and shouting. I was concerned as to what was going on. I called the guest desk and asked to get a refund and that we would be leaving that day because this isn’t restful especially being here for a death in the family. She transferred me to the manager - who explained there was a strike by some of the employees - I asked why there wasn’t a notice or why we weren’t told about this situation. She told me ‘they’re not allowed’ to say that these people might be striking. Not allowed?? Why? Because we don’t know if and when they’ll be striking at this property. (I guess they got to different ones) - so they can’t have a banner on the website or sign in the lobby or have guest check in explaining -due to some of our employees being on strike there may or may not be commotion early in the morning’ -?? nope. No warning. Which is utter BS. She never offered to put us in a different room maybe facing the back of the hotel. Never offered any kind of customer service. She instead had a bad attitude and told me to have expedia call her because I booked through a 3rd party. As my daughter and I started getting ready to attend funeral services, the AC all of a sudden didn’t work and was only pumping out hot air. So it’s been working fine all night and once I call to share my concerns, it magically stops working…... The level of unprofessionalism from this manager is beyond. Do not stay here. There are plenty of other hotels all over this city. Read less

I gave them a second chance and problems again. The front office manager wrote to me personally, but obviously lip service only. This time, I asked 3 times for water, which was supposed to be in room, nil delivered. One example of a number of failures. If you use a high quality banner, like Sheraton, you need your staff to align to their service qualities. This place does not and there is plenty of competition within metres. Read less
