Rosalia at the front desk was the consummate professional and made our stay a very good one. She deserves a raise. Our room was incredibly comfortable, the bed, room service and the staff were outstanding. Closeness to LAX makes this hotel a logical choice.

I am a disabled elderly person. Like others, when I arriv ed 20 minutes before “check in time,” I was told I could pay $40 for “early checkin.”. And I am still disputing an unauthorized charge added to my bill after my departure. There are many hotels near LAX, so choose another one. Embassy Suites has always done a good job for our family.

I am 3 months pregnant with morning sickness and the hotel would not let me check in early. Room ready. But wanted $75 fee or wait a couple hours then $40. The advice I got was to vomit around the side of the lobby which is quieter area. Very very upsetting.

Sheraton LAX My wife and I had a pleasant 1-night stay at the LAX Sheraton. I had seen several negative reports so I was a bit anxious on arrival. However, every staff member treated us pleasantly and respectfully, from check-in through housekeeping, and especially the two hostesses in the concierge lounge. Although my Nightly Upgrade Award was not granted, I was upgraded on check-in to a wonderful corner suite that was quite luxurious and probably updated recently. The room was perfectly clean and in good shape, although the bed was too soft for my taste. The breakfast in the concierge lounge was adequate but could have been more extensive and/or higher quality. The 24-hour espresso machine (both caf and decaf) was great, along with the filtered water dispenser. We just missed the shuttle to the airport the next morning, watching it pull away as we got to the lobby, and so we decided to do the 20 minute walk to our terminal instead. A true schedule for the shuttle might be logistically difficult given traffic at LAX, but it sure would be nice. Or, as I have seen at the Residence Inn, a GPS-based map of the shuttles showing their locations would go a long way to eliminating the uncertainty. Readers should also be aware that there is considerable pre-Olympics construction all along Century Blvd, so it can get noisy in any of the hotels. I'm not sure why this hotel receives highly conflicting reports, but I will stay again when my travel requires a night-over at LAX. Read less
