The hotel

Sunset Boulevard is known for it's glitz and glamour, dining and nightlife - so the West Hollywood EDITION certainly fits right in. With it's sleek design, rooftop pool, delectable dining, and late night music, you'll be living the film star life here. Your location is ideal for exploring Beverly Hills and Hollywood, whilst it's also an easy drive to the beaches of Santa Monica and Venice. But you don't really have to move from the hotel if you don't wish. The centre spot of the hotel is the roof terrace, adorned with plants and overlooking the LA city. Dip your toes in the pool whilst you sip on a tropical-inspired cocktail or a chilled glass of rose. Back in your light-filled room you'll also enjoy views for days, whether it be the Hollywood hills or downtown LA. Upgrade to a suite to enjoy a large soaking tub, and in the bathroom you'll find the the hotels signature scent, The Edition, available to spray upon yourself. Ardor is the place to satisfy your hunger pangs, spearheaded by one of the most famous vegetable chefs in the world. So whilst there are meat dishes on the menu (we recommend the melt-in-the-mouth pork belly dish), there's a huge range of plant based dishes too, all of which can be enjoyed on the beautifully decorated terrace on those warm evenings. At the weekend, extend your fun late into the night at Sunset. A modern nightclub in the spirit of the dozens that lined Sunset Strip in the 60's and 70's. With music from all genres, you can dance the night away.

Loft Rooms feature a French balcony with city views, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Loft Terrace Rooms feature a private terrace with seating, offering city views, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Superior Suites feature a separate living area with sofa bed and lounge chairs, two TV's, a French balcony with city views, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Premier Suites feature a separate lounge area, two TV's, a French balcony with city views, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

This was my first experience at this hotel, and it is simply superb. I stopped off overnight on the way to Australia to meet with some friends in the area, using award points since it wasn't a business trip. I was so impressed that I will now make this hotel my regular LA hotel, replacing the one I've used for more than a decade. The reception staff - I dealt with Jessica and Jose - are extremely accommodating and helpful, but so is everyone, including housekeeping. The location is ideal. The facility is excellent - wonderful restaurant, great gym, superb rooftop pool (the pool is for guests and has a serene feel. Bars have a hip feel, but the sound doesn't carry to the rooms. Decor is cool and understated. Read less

My stay at the Edition Hotel proved to be a deeply unsatisfactory experience, characterized by a series of unfortunate incidents. During the night, at 3 a.m., our rest was persistently disturbed by the audible sounds of sexual activities emanating from neighboring rooms. This unwelcome disruption continued when, at 7 a.m., the tranquil morning was shattered by the abrupt intrusion of loud music. Regrettably, the disarray extended to the behavior of the hotel staff, who engaged in noisy disputes within the hallways, creating an atmosphere that was far from conducive to a pleasant stay. Without exaggeration, this was the most subpar hotel experience I have ever encountered. Seeking resolution, we approached the reception the following morning, receiving assurances that the manager would be in touch. These assurances, however, went unfulfilled as we never received any communication. Our subsequent attempts to contact the establishment via email were met with an ominous silence. Considering the substantial financial outlay for our stay, the level of disregard for guest comfort and satisfaction exhibited at the Edition Hotel is nothing short of egregious. In stark contrast to the remarkable quality of other Edition Hotels I have frequented, this particular establishment can only be deemed a severe disappointment. Read less
