EDITION West Hollywood

West Hollywood, Los Angeles

Virgin rating

The hotel

Sunset Boulevard is known for it's glitz and glamour, dining and nightlife - so the West Hollywood EDITION certainly fits right in. With it's sleek design, rooftop pool, delectable dining, and late night music, you'll be living the film star life here. Your location is ideal for exploring Beverly Hills and Hollywood, whilst it's also an easy drive to the beaches of Santa Monica and Venice. But you don't really have to move from the hotel if you don't wish. The centre spot of the hotel is the roof terrace, adorned with plants and overlooking the LA city. Dip your toes in the pool whilst you sip on a tropical-inspired cocktail or a chilled glass of rose. Back in your light-filled room you'll also enjoy views for days, whether it be the Hollywood hills or downtown LA. Upgrade to a suite to enjoy a large soaking tub, and in the bathroom you'll find the the hotels signature scent, The Edition, available to spray upon yourself. Ardor is the place to satisfy your hunger pangs, spearheaded by one of the most famous vegetable chefs in the world. So whilst there are meat dishes on the menu (we recommend the melt-in-the-mouth pork belly dish), there's a huge range of plant based dishes too, all of which can be enjoyed on the beautifully decorated terrace on those warm evenings. At the weekend, extend your fun late into the night at Sunset. A modern nightclub in the spirit of the dozens that lined Sunset Strip in the 60's and 70's. With music from all genres, you can dance the night away.

I love EDITION hotels and this one was no different. I’m Titanium with Bonvoy and applied a NUA to this stay and got a meager upgrade to a terrace room on the 6th floor. The room had the classic Edition understated elegance that I’ve come to love. I stayed in several different 5 star hotels on this long work trip and the Edition, hands down, had the most comfortable bed and nicest linens. I spent an afternoon at the rooftop pool and food and beverage service was great. Very relaxing. Everyone from valets to front desk associates were very friendly and service minded. A first class stay. I’d love to return one day and try out the amazing looking spa. Read less

I expected a lot, and I wasn't dissapointed! Lots of bad comments about the valet, not true. Nicest group around. The pool is supposed to be the coolest pool in LA. I haven't seen them all but this is the best and the service is friendly outstanding and still extremely cool! Rooms are Edition Schaeger cool... white and more white. Just remember… Read more

Just remember where you are and make sure you tip accordingly. You knew it was expensive when you booked it so don't complain, enjoy! And if you tip the valet nicely he will treat your rental like it is the Range Rover you left in airport parking back home. Shame on you complainers Read less

They assigned us two rooms on different floors—one with a king-sized bed and the other with two queens. The problem is that the elevator only allows access to your specific floor, making it difficult for the kids to come to our floor easily. Ask for an extra spare key card if you have kids, so you can go to their room and vice verca. The rooftop pool is very nice, but when it’s busy, service for drinks and food is lacking. We had dinner at the rooftop restaurant, and while the food was delicious and the service excellent, it was extremely expensive. The valet parking is also pricey at $70, with no alternative options available. The room itself was spacious, modern, with a super 75" large new TV and a very clean modern shower Read less

We had issue with hotels valet parking. Was told they didn’t have our room number to charge to the room. This hotel is not cheap, $900+ a night which I could imagine a better experience at other 5-star. The check in and check out was… well, should I say fast or inattentive and impersonal. The room is very simple and not luxurious for the price. The hair dryer is a cheap one, and it has a phone but 0 doesn’t dial to front desk. The shower is large with steaming hot water. The AC is central control which you can’t adjust the temperature as you like!! The gym has free weights and cardio equipment only, not a “functional” gym. The Lutron switch and incompatible light bulb gives the room a disco effect. No room upgrade with Amex platinum. However, breakfast was really good. Read less
