The hotel

Even the most dedicated urban nomad sometimes needs a place to escape LA – and that’s where Le Parc at Melrose comes in. Squirreled away in a residential road in cool West Hollywood (WeHo to those in the know), this high-design hotel is the perfect sanctuary between sightseeing, shopping, and nights at nearby ‘name-dropping’ haunts like The Viper Room and the Roxy. Every room here’s a suite – and Le Parc at Melrose are ones you’ll never want to leave thanks to the balcony, lounge, kitchenette, fireplace, and complimentary WiFi that comes as standard. (And, because you can order up farm-to-fork favourites from Knoll, the hotel’s upscale bistro, you don’t have to leave it.) If you do want a reminder of the city outside, you can always head up to the Skydeck, with its heated rooftop pool, cabanas, and metropolis-skimming views.

Having the kitchenette was ideal ( you do need to request the plates and cutlery etc). Lovely hotel amenities - we used the rooftop pool and ordered food there. We did have breakfast in the restaurant one morning which was great and good portions. They have a self serve laundry which we did use a couple of times, machine takes quarters (there is a change machine). Location is perfect. It’s a nice quiet residential street - lots of sweet looking houses and the type of place people like to walk their dogs or go for a run. We didn’t have a car but it’s only 5 min walk from Santa Monica Blvd for catching buses (or in the other direction for Melrose Ave/ Fairfax). Trader Joes is opposite the bus stop on Santa Monica Blvd to get some supplies or a takeaway pizza which we did. We only realised on the last day that if you head towards Melrose Ave and turn right there’s nice little places to eat (seem quite reasonable) and a little further along there’s a park if you want somewhere for your kids to run around. Really enjoyed our stay. Thank you, we would recommend. Read less

The size and layout of the bathroom was perfect for a large family of 5 (no one was tripping over each other) and there was room for mom to do her make up while someone was in the shower and another was brushing their teeth. The bedding was also ideal (2Q and a pull out) . Free coffee offered in the morning. You need to request daily housekeeping (they forgot to do it one day despite my daily request) but brought up extra towels quickly. I would recommend this location to travelers without hesitation. Thank you Parc. Read less

Our stay has been nothing but amazing. Front desk is really amazing especially Noemi and Leylany they are really understanding and flexible when we need things. The vibe here is great. I would definitely recommend anyone to this hotel for their stay.

My stay was amazing! Everyone at Le Parc is welcoming and is actually very nice !! Noemi & Leylany at the front desk, Worku & Joseph in valet and Iram from the rooftop are the best and they were all super helpful and great host. The rooms are also very cute and the hotel itself is a great vibe to be around!

I stayed here for 12 nights as a solo female traveller from UK. I'd wanted somewhere safe and quiet to stay, with large rooms, and this was perfect. It's on a quiet street but amenities such as shopping close by are very walkable. The suite was gorgeous, very large with lots of space. The decor in the room was beautiful and modern. Comfortable bed, lovely big couch, table and chairs, big closet, and I really liked the bath as I hate showers! There was lots of storage space all around the suite. I really enjoyed my balcony with street view. Temperature in the room was perfect, very occasionally I’d put the AC on, or fireplace heater on late in the evening, but most of the time I didn’t need to. The kitchenette was lovely, with microwave, fridge freezer, stove top with two burners, and coffee machine (just ask reception for kitchen things like plates, pans, dish-washing stuff etc) and storage cupboards/drawers. The staff were lovely. Reception staff were great (and phone always answered quickly) and the car valet guys were so friendly too. Admittedly the valet parking charge is high but it is on a par with everywhere else and the valets were quick and efficient. Other nice things were the hotel roof (lovely views) with complimentary wine hour 5-6pm. I didn’t use the pool as I don’t swim but whenever I went up to the roof it was quiet and relaxing, to sit there and look at the views. There were a few very minor issues, all quickly resolved. My TV stopped working one night, so someone came up to reset it straightaway. The burner rings on my stove top wouldn’t work, again a call to reception and two guys came up and fixed it. Overall, I really loved staying at Le Parc. I felt so at home I could quite happily live here! I miss it already - I’m planning another trip to LA next year so will definitely be staying here again.
