Mammoth Mountain Inn

The hotel

Built in 1957, Mammoth Mountain Inn was Mammoth's first ski-resort accommodation and the only slope-side hotel at Mammoth's Main Lodge. Today it offers activities year round — in summer there's hiking, biking and outdoor adventures, and in winter it's a core skiers' and snowboarders' paradise, with the ultimate entry point to the slopes. Ski to the hotel at the end of the day and you can soon be blowing the steam off your hot toddy. Take a dip in the outdoor pool or one of the indoor or outdoor hot tubs. The Yodler dining terrace is the ideal place for a light snack on a sunny day and the great après-ski atmosphere in the Dry Creek Lounge is further enhanced by regular live music.

Experience all that the area can offer. The staff, mentioning, Tanner Warrwick & Tom Eby, all of them are caring, authentic, intelligent, & accommodating. You feel at home! This was my 12th in 7-yrs.

Image of the Tripadvisor rating Queen beds are slightly bigger full sized beds so if you’re used to a queen bed you’ll be disappointed.

False advertisement!! Booked a queen bed room and when we got here it was not a queen! The front desk said that our room was a queen sized bed and that all the queen rooms have the same bed size. We’re here for snowboarding so we had a tape measurer with us and it measured at 57x76 which is a little bigger than a full size but a standard queen bed… Read more
False advertisement!! Booked a queen bed room and when we got here it was not a queen! The front desk said that our room was a queen sized bed and that all the queen rooms have the same bed size. We’re here for snowboarding so we had a tape measurer with us and it measured at 57x76 which is a little bigger than a full size but a standard queen bed is 60x80. The front desk kept saying it’s a hotel sized queen like what is that supposed to even mean! I told them to come measure it themselves and they declined. Have stayed here at their lofts in the past with no problem but don’t book a queen room if you actually expect a queen bed. Read less

Best kept secret in mammoth. Location is prime for real ski in ski out. Hotel staff is great. Hot tubin after a long day making turns, looking up at the mountain whilst the snow groomers get it all ready for the next day is the best, Place is excellent!

Truly the KINDEST staff I’ve ever met. Super comfy room, we were plenty warm in the fall. They accommodated our needs and when they couldn’t they made it right. Highly highly recommend. Specifically Tanner, Natalie, and Amelia were incredible. I cannot recommend them enough.
