The hotel

It's nice to be able to relax in the spacious comfort of your two-room suite, but the complimentary hot breakfast buffet and made-to-order omelette station will help get you out and set up for the day. At the Embassy Suites by Hilton Monterey Bay Seaside, you are a couple of blocks from the beach and just two miles north of Downtown Monterey. There are lots of attractions and activities along the Bay too, such as the Monterey Bay Aquarium or Steinbeck Museum, or head out in the car for 20 minutes or so for a bit of hiking, winery action or spa treats. The hotel’s 2-hour evening reception with complimentary cocktails and snacks is a great way to kick-off your evening. The Silver Tide Bar & Grill is in the atrium too, so why not drop in afterwards for some local California cuisine?

This hotel is pretty much garbage. The rooms are large, since it’s an all suite hotel, and the location is good, but those are its only redeeming features. You’ll pay $400 a night for a moldy bathroom without a vent fan, a bird poop covered patio, the smallest bed pillows I’ve ever seen, and a terrible breakfast and even worse restaurant. And no… Read more

And no housekeeping in accordance with their policies! Quit using Covid as an excuse for being understaffed and cheap. The pool was also freezing and left my son’s lips blue. We were also charged for parking when the website says it’s included in the rate. What a rip off. Read less

Staff was unfriendly and didn’t show any personality. The booked the wrong day and was going to make me pay fir it. The tub was clogged and they offered no discount at all. Wedding was going on and couldn’t hear the receptionist. Awful experience. Very disappointed in Embassy suites. They should have done better.

Room was clean and food was good but front desk was less then helpful. They were curt and were dismissive. I needed some assistance with the local area as I would looking to replace personal belongings that were stolen from my vehicle in the way to the hotel and they offered no help.

I got grilled by staff about my service dog in a way that made me feel uncomfortable. I don't mind being asked about what service she provides (she is a SERVICE dog) but the probing questions and general look of disbelief/disingenuous concern was a uncalled for and made me feel uncomfortable. Also, the dog relief area was filled with trash and overflowing trash cans. Read less

Parking , Towels and what for 30 bucks what a rip off. I am working very hard to keep the wife happy but not staying here anymore. Basically a restaurant /hotel parking lot and i have to pay 30 bucks even if I dont have a car.. I have been staying here for years but will try now to avoid it.
