Meritage Resort and Spa

Napa, Napa Valley Wine Region

Virgin rating

The hotel

You know you’ve reached wine country when you arrive at Meritage Resort & Spa. On the threshold of Napa Valley, its design may be Tuscan-inspired, but its soul is pure Napa, with views of a grapevine-covered slope as you swim, hiking (or strolling) trails through nine acres of vineyards, an underground tasting room, and wine served at every turn. But it’s also a place that recognises exceptional wine should be paired with life’s other luxuries: separate adult and family pools, al fresco fireplaces and whirlpools, lazy Sunday brunches, and wining and dining venues like award-winning Siena, the Crush bowling lounge, a café-come-gelateria, and a luxury wine bar. But it’s the Estate Cave that promises the most indulgence; 40 ft underground, it hosts a wine tasting room and Spa Terra’s steam grottos and soaking pools.

The Meritage resort is top-flight. Excellent accommodations and very professional and courteous and friendly staff. I highly recommend staying here. I arrived after a long flight from Montana and I am here for a Catholic conference. The renovations are remarkable and I didn’t think they even needed renovations! However, you can move around with ease and it’s a beautiful well lit and comfortable venue. The rooms are outstanding. The best I’ve ever stayed in. Read less

Genie was amazing! Best massage ever and definitely helped work out all the kinks in my neck and shoulders. The space was clean, meticulously tidyand relaxing. All the staff was super helpful and kind. The location of the spa in the caves was very unique as well.

This place is crawling with tourists. WATCH out for that hidden resort fee that's going to up the cost in a deceptive way! The front desk staff sent us to the wrong room! Looking for a high quality resort, look elsewhere!

Lovely large resort hotel with luxury rooms and grounds. Great pools and on site restaurants - we ate at Olive & Hay which we delicious and also did a wine tasting with Gen9. It’s slightly outside napa town but still worth a visit, especially with children as all on site.
