The hotel

Rewind and relax during your California adventure at the Napa Valley Marriott Hotel & Spa. In the heart of the wine country i'm sure you'll be out exploring local vineyards whilst you're here. But you can also sample wines from a different winery each evening with the daily wine hour - hosted by a local sommelier. And whilst we're on the tastebuds, the food here is great too. At Little Summer you can taste locally souced ingredients with a gourmet touch. Our favourite, however, is South Yard - one of the top BBQ restaurants in the area. Enjoy a homestyle BBQ out in the summer evening air, with unforgettable flavours and yard games for all the family to enjoy. You can even end the evening toasting smores at the firepits! It's not all about the food and drink though, the spa is a massive selling point for this hotel. With 11 treatment rooms offering personalised services and revitalising treatments, you are sure to be pampered and feeling raring to go for the rest of your trip.

Beautiful hotel, one of the most upscale and well taken care of I've been to. Blossom who checked us in was incredibly kind. Breakfast in the morning was exceptional, and the rooms were spacious and updated. Great location to explore the Napa region!

This was one of the best Marriotts I’ve ever stayed in. The room was beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. Blossom was the general manager there and made us feel so welcome. I didn’t feel like I was staying in a big chain hotel.

The room was spacious, well kept and even had a balcony. The location was 7 minutes from downtown and an easy walk to lots of shops. The pool was my favorite place to relax and the nightly complimentary wine tastings at 5pm started the evenings off right. The hotel even has their very own rescue dog named Jake at the front desk! I love this hotel and can't wait to go back :) Read less

Overall this hotel was clean and was a good option for my family. On this trip it was myself, my husband and 9 month old baby. I had high expectations of this hotel coming into this trip and was disappointed at some points. Overall, it’s a nice enough hotel but it didn’t wow me. The outside of the hotel seems very dated and the layout is similar to a spring hill suites or lower tier Marriott. The rooms are updated and nice. The beds were ok. I really liked the pool area but unfortunately they did not have a drink attendant. You could order room service to the pool which was good to have an option. It looked like some guests were walking to the bar inside and bringing their drinks back to the pool area. Another family door dashed sandwiches. The service at this hotel did not seem strong compared to other properties we have stayed at. The housekeeping was wonderful and one of the gentleman at the front desk was very nice. Other than that the staff seemed mediocre and like they didn’t want to be there. We had breakfast at little summer one morning and the service was awful. I will say the food was really good! We had a 9 month old with us on this trip and it was very hard to wave down my waiter for the bill. Another staff member had to come help me because it was taking a very long time. This hotel does have room service which I appreciate! On our last night we were going to lay low and go to south yard their BBQ restaurant at the hotel. It was marketed all over the hotel and looked fun. We walked to that area of the property and it was closed? Very strange since it said it was open online and no one mentioned it would be closed during our stay. Overall, this is the nicest Marriott property we have stayed at in Napa Valley. For the price I thought we would get a little more but I’m happy with our stay. If you are looking for something more upscale I would pass on this property. Read less
