407 newly-renovated rooms on 3 floors with 2 lifts in total. Now featuring a modern beach house ambience boasting a balcony or terrace. Air-conditioning, 37" flat-screen LCD TV, coffee maker, fridge, safe, iPod iHome docking station, iron and board, and hairdryer. Standard Rooms with 1 king-size or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Pool View Rooms have the same amenities as Standard Rooms but with views of the Indulge pool plus a spacious patio or balcony, with 1 king-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults and 1 child.

Balcony View Rooms, with the same amenities as Standard Rooms, have views of the bay, swimming pool or golf course from the balcony, sleeping maximum 3 adults and 1 child.

SHOR American Seafood Grill (a modern beach house ambiance serving locally sourced Southern California-inspired cuisine). Starbucks® coffee available in the mornings, plus cocktails in the evenings. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach for two nights to attend a wedding. Overall we liked the ambience of the facility and its amenities very much. There were a few hiccups, like no glass tumblers in the room (only plastic ones!). They did provide them when we requested them.

We recently finished a one night stay using a FNA. I called the morning of to see what time I could check in and Beverly (I later find out she is the room controller, she is awesome! Thank you for taking care of me.) on the phone let me know that we were upgraded as a one time courtesy to a 3-Bedroom Villa!! Room was not ready but she expedited cleaning so I was happy about that. Room was ready around 2PM. There was a huge wedding going on so I am sure they needed my king but I am not complaining! What was only going to be a quick staycation for 2 adults and 2 children, I was able to extend the invite to my parents and brother. The Villa had it own private pool which was such a huge bonus because having the ability to jump in and out of the pool without walking far from your room was awesome. My son was able to swim multiple times during our stay and take breaks versus us just hanging out by the pool the whole day. The bedrooms were very comfortable each having a king bed, the master was huge but the bathrooms are a little dated but they got the job done. Black out curtains help at night and because we are at the far end of the hotel its pretty quiet. Staying with a FNA, Valet parking was included and so was the resort fees. As a Globalist, breakfast was at the SHOR and it included 1 entrée and a non alcoholic drink for up to 4 adults. They must take really good care of their globalist because we were ready to pay for an extra entrée and drink but they took care of the whole bill so that was a saving of around $250! All in all it is a dated hotel like others have said but staying using a FNA this was a nice staycation and we needed it because there was a heatwave here in OC. Read less

We had the best time celebrating our anniversary with our family. The hotel staff is very kind, attentive, and helpful. We told them it was our anniversary and they included several gifts in our room including some fun baseball items since we were going to see a few baseball games. They gave us chocolates and champagne, extra water bottles anytime, extra towels, and were helpful for directions and advice. I definitely recommend staying here. The resort is beautiful and pretty large, and rooms were extremely clean and spacious as well. The three pools were all nice, the kids one with the waterslide got very crowded and loud so we just moved to a different one and had our pick of lounge chairs and even poolside bar service. Loved our stay! Read less

We had a two-day retreat and were very pleased with the service, food, and accommodation. The room set up was great and the food provided was generous and good quality. The staff were very responsive. The property is in lovely grounds with nice pools.

It was a pleasure staying at the Hyatt. Service, room, and food were top notch. I especially like the fact that they let you borrow bikes for a ride.
