The hotel

Bringing that island feel to the Californian desert city, Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs is the first of the famous chain on the West Coast so you can enjoy the relaxed and colourful vibe as part of your US road trip, or for a chance to chill out by the pool with a cocktail in hand. With a calendar of activities including poolside games, movie nights and live DJ’s, this large resort caters for all ages. There’s two pools to relax by, or visit the spa for an array of treatments that will have you feeling like you’re on a secluded island somewhere! You’re just moments from the shopping and golf that Palm Springs is famous for, and parking is included in the resort fee. You don’t need to leave the resort really though – you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to food. Enjoy a steak at JWB Grill, quasedillas by the pool, or grab a takeaway pizza and enjoy it on your balcony when you book a Deluxe Room. If you’ve visited a Margaritaville before you’ll know they’re famous for the ‘5 o’clock somewhere’ bar and this place is no different. It’s the staple of any Margaritaville experience.

I was a little disappointed when we got there after 4:00 PM and our room was not made. So, again after some time waiting for confirmation from the front desk personnel we were finally given a room that was clean and not occupied. I expect better service when I pay a premium price for anything. Read less

Wanted to love this place, but, well... Upon arrival I needed to use a restroom badly but no toilet seat covers in the room and of course, the toilet seat needed scrubbing. If you like standing in your own dirty shower water then this is your place - the shower takes forever to drain. Parking? Hah, forget it! Prepare yourself for a long hike… Read more

Do not recommend! I extended a business trip to have a few days of relaxation. The hotel blasts music starting at 8am. I wanted to sleep in, but it was impossible. I had some work to do, but it was also impossible with the loud music blasting all day. The hotel is old- they did the bare minimum to update it. Bathtub is filled with rust/decay. Old… Read more

I had some work to do, but it was also impossible with the loud music blasting all day. The hotel is old- they did the bare minimum to update it. Bathtub is filled with rust/decay. Old HVAC system. Decades old windows with no insulation. Also, small things like only having decaf coffee in the room and no microwave. Would never stay here again. Still grumpy from being rudely awakened by club volume music. Read less

Saw him to order and then pay. Food was less than good. Burger was tasteless and the fish was just as bland. Been to a few of the restaurants before and enjoyed the experience, here not so much. Resort seemed very dated although open for just a couple years. If this was my first time at a Margaritaville, I would not return. Read less
