The hotel

There's a real resort feel to this Mission Bay hotel. On a 14-acre peninsula, the views are quite something, and you’re just steps from the the calm bay waters. Head to the white sandy beach and grab yourself a beach cabana or take a stroll through the lush tropical gardens. The pool is a great spot too and the huge hot tub is just the ticket on a cooler evening. Hotel information

Studios all have air-conditioning, balcony or terrace, 65" flat-screen TV, complimentary WiFi, coffee maker, mini-fridge, iHome Bluetooth speaker with smart USB charging station, safe, iron and ironing board, and hairdryer. Garden/Bay View Studios feature a kitchenette with microwave, compact fridge/freezer, toaster and sink, and either 1 king-size bed or 2 queen-size beds, plus a sleeper sofa, sleeping maximum 5 people. 

Dockside 1953 (fresh California fare, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with outdoor patio and ocean views). Airstream Cafe Grab 'n' Go (serving breakfast, snacks to go, hot and cold drinks, and light meal offerings). Pool Bar and Grill (open Saturday's and Sundays, serving a range of drinks, salads and grilled classics).

Live music on select evenings.

There is a resort fee of $39 plus tax per room, per night (payable locally, fee subject to change). 

Resort fee includes:- Complimentary WiFi access in guest rooms - Rescue seal exhibit - Access to tennis courts with racquet and ball rental - Use of shuffleboard courts - Use of cabanas on secluded beach - Resort pool towels - Two in-room bottles of water per day - Complimentary local and domestic long distance phone calls. had the pleasure of checking in with Chris at the front desk. He was extremely friendly and knowledgeable of the hotel and area. Chad made my experience at the Bahia better than ever expected. The other staff was just as friendly and helpful in every way possible. Highly recommended

Check in was a breeze with Ben. He was courteous, welcoming, and professional! The bay view room was great and I really appreciated the location of the hotel. I stay in Point Loma but my friends visiting stayed here and it was located perfectly to everything. I’ll make sure to have all my friends and family members stay here when visiting.

Wow - this place is unreal - the most important thing to say is that the team here could not have gone further if they tried - we are a family of diverse need with a young son with Down Syndrome and the team made everything so easy. We're very grateful and will always remember our very special family time at Bahia Resort. The hotel itself is lovely, in beautiful grounds, in a very accessible spot in San Diego, near Mission Beach. The rooms are great, very lovely, the pool is gorgeous, the food is great. So many positives. Above all that though, we find it really helpful if we've been able to make sure a place works for us before we arrive because of our extra needs. Jayne, Heather and the rest of the team at the Bahia went way beyond anything we've experienced in any hotel in the world and we can't thank them all enough. Some how we managed to have a romantic getaway while also enjoying a family holiday - that's unheard of for us. If you're a couple, this place is just lovely and peaceful and romantic. If you're a family, there is lots to do and it is very family friendly, without being overrun with kids. If you have a family with diverse need, this is like nothing we've experienced.
