The hotel

There's a real resort feel to this Mission Bay hotel. On a 14-acre peninsula, the views are quite something, and you’re just steps from the the calm bay waters. Head to the white sandy beach and grab yourself a beach cabana or take a stroll through the lush tropical gardens. The pool is a great spot too and the huge hot tub is just the ticket on a cooler evening. Don't miss an evening cruise around the bay on the Bahia Belle paddle steamer — there’s drinks, live entertainment and views galore.

There are pickleball courts that are easy to access during your stay and the private beach on the bay is so relaxing. We look forward to going back to the Bahia! Read less

Not only is the Bahia one of the most beautiful resorts in Southern California but in the entire country. And it’s even that much better because they hit a grand slam in hiring Big Ben at the front desk. He made our experience that much better. This was a very good hotel. The room was outdated and felt dark but it was very spacious. The hotel site was great (seal refuge), beach, playground park for kids, kids entertainment, tennis court, water sport rental and more. I'm removing 1 point however, because we had to wait forever for our room. We had requested early checking and were told it would be ready, turns out it was not, and ever after regular check-in time, our room was still not ready because it apparently did not have curtains. The front desk staff was ok. The best thing about this hotel was its location. Walking distance to mission beach, belmon park, and 5 minutes drive to Sea World. Well located to go to the Zoo and Balboa Park, etc... My family and I had a nice time so all the considered, I would recommend. Read less
