Perfectly located in the Gas Lamp district, Margaritaville is within walking distance of all the downtown amenities like Petco Park and the marina area. Since my first stay at Margaritaville years ago, I've become a dedicated and loyal client and have stayed at both the North Hollywood and Orlando locations. Simply put, there is no better hotel chain if you are looking for a casual stay with exceptional staff and amenities. From our check in with the marvelous Tiffany to the staff at the pool and Landshark Grill, everyone that works at Margaritaville is always personable and professional and frankly, it is what puts this brand above all others - the people. Rooms are also very large, roomy with super comfortable beds and bright and cheerful decor. We also had a small walkout patio which was a nice surprise and a roof top bar and pool - how can you not like that in the heart of San Diego? Prior to checking into to Margaritaville, I stayed at the Marriot for 3 days for a work conference. While there is nothing wrong with that hotel, Margaritaville far exceeds it for the price paid/value and for room and vibe. Whenever I plan a trip, step one is to see if they have a Margaritaville hotel in that location. If so, no hesitation in staying there as I know in advance I won't be disappointed. Read less

Such a wonderful hotel. In the middle of Gas Lamp close to everything. Thank you Kendra for making my experience and birthday special. Also Bret was making amazing tasty drinks at the bar! If you want to stay close to great restaurants and catch a padres game, this is a must stay hotel!

What a great hotel. I stayed in March for a business trip. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the location is top notch. I would give 6 stars if possible!! I ate at Land Shark two nights. The fish tacos were so good I had to go back for more. Next time I am in San Diego there is nowhere else I would think of staying.
