Just steps away from the white sands and surfboards of Southern California, the Seabird Resort is a coastal estate in which you can relax, eat and drink, and get pampered to your hearts content. The hotel offers a beach concierge service with chairs, umbrellas and other essential supplies for you. The standard rooms are spacious, plenty of which offer ocean views - but if you're travelling as a larger group then the suites offer expansive balconies, large soaking tubs, and that extra bit of luxury for your stay. At the Shore Room you'll find iconic views, ocean delicacies, and craft cocktails - often accompanied by live acoustic music sets on 'Sparkling Sundays'. Sunny's Spa and and Beauty Lounge is on hand, whatever treatment you may be after, or relaxing on the chaise lounges around the pool could be enough for you! TIPS: Roo had a limited cable TV selection but their TVs so allow casting from your computer, iPad, and iPhones. My room came with a steamer versus a traditional iron and ironing board. I just used the steamer but I am sure if I asked for an iron and ironing board, they would have supplied them. My room had a mini-fridge which was cool. If you check out super early (like 4am-6am), build extra time to potential find a staff member who may not physically be at the front desk. There may also be just one valet staff member running between properties to retrieve vehicles.

Service at the hotel was super friendly and very attentive.
Both my husband and I really thought the decor was beautiful and very well maintained. I didn’t even see one scuff mark in the hallway. The lobby is beautiful and welcoming, the kids and I hung out there in the evenings.
One thing I would note as a negative is the pool is unheated. We went on a warm weekend so it was ok but bordering on unpleasant. I can imagine on a typical foggy day in Oceanside the pool could be unusable.

Great hotel very poor pool policy. Allowing people to reserved sunbeds and not been seen for 4 since 9 and it’s now 11:45.. just watched a coupe who was not happy with the reserved beds by the hotel went and bagged another 2 and had 4 beds constantly swapping to stop others and staff do nothing … very poor

The ocean view room was stunning. We watched the sunset over Oceanside pier, and it was just perfect. The hotel has some great amenities too - like spa, boogie boards, beach chairs and umbrellas, and the pool was great. There are more families at The Seabird pool compared to Mission Pacific (the sister property next door). But we preferred that as the Mission Pacific pool vibe was more like singles who were ready to mingle. We liked the more laid-back vibe at The Seabird. The hotel staff went above and beyond to help us celebrate our anniversary. Park at the lot behind The Seabird for just $24 overnight compared to the $47 at the hotel. Can't wait to go back!
