The hotel

After a multi million dollar renovation, the Zephyr has been transformed into a modern, quirky hotel with a nautical theme and laidback vibe. In the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf, you can walk to PIER 39 and Ghirardelli Square (did someone say chocolate?) or jump on a cable car to explore further. Hidden at the back of the hotel is Socialite, a casual restaurant with a sociable atmosphere. There are lots of dining options close by too — grab a clam chowder bread bowl or head to Chinatown for delicious dim sum. When you're done sightseeing for the day, your hotel room offers a welcome oasis from a city that seemingly never sleeps!

Shower drips even though when turned off, toilet didn't flush one time, the game room was cool, beds were good, coffee machine was yummers, the design of the place is nice, like we are in a container, smell is great, main lobby metal birds look cools

Amazing staff and service. Everyone was very attentive and helped me find my lost items after checkout. There is plenty to do at the hotel and the proximity to things to do is steps away from the Wharf, restaurants, and sights. Both rooms that I stayed at were clean.

The stay was great. The hotel was very eclectic and beautiful. They used recycled metal for art decor and cargo ship containers for wall decor as well. It was absolutely beautiful. Its kid friendly too. They have ping pong table, 4 fire pits, table top soccer, shuffle board, a pool table, life size connect 4. They even gave a magnetic dart board… Read more

What a gem of a hotel! We stayed here as a family of four with two kids and will be back. Service, amenities, location, and quality of the rooms all exceeded our expectations. Game room, courtyard with fire pits and s’mores, and even the onsite Photo Booth were all enjoyed. Parking onsite and quality of toiletries were also appreciated.

By far the best place to stay in San Francisco. It is near all the things to do and a short drive from other iconic things to do as well. We felt safe and enjoyed our view toward Coit tower. My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and we would come back again for a regular trip. The hotel is hip, cool and has a lot to do as well as a bar/restaurant attached which makes it nice for easy drinks that are delish but also you can cut through to get to the main scene and cut back to get back. Overall the roll was great! Kind bed was so delightful and comfortable. Cleanliness of the room was great and staff was wonderful as well. If I could give 10 stars I would! Read less
