The hotel

After a multi million dollar renovation, the Zephyr has been transformed into a modern, quirky hotel with a nautical theme and laidback vibe. In the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf, you can walk to PIER 39 and Ghirardelli Square (did someone say chocolate?) or jump on a cable car to explore further. Hidden at the back of the hotel is Socialite, a casual restaurant with a sociable atmosphere. There are lots of dining options close by too — grab a clam chowder bread bowl or head to Chinatown for delicious dim sum. When you're done sightseeing for the day, your hotel room offers a welcome oasis from a city that seemingly never sleeps!

In Fisherman’s Wharf, steps from PIER 39, Ghiradelli Square and the world-famous San Francisco cable cars. Shops, bars and restaurants are within walking distance. Transfer time from San Francisco International Airport: 30 minutes.

Prince was the shining star the experience. He went above and beyond to ensure that I got I was accommodated. He regularly went out of his way to ensure that I was comfortable. So I really appreciated that. The beds need to be more comfortable though!

Great location near the water. Walking distance to the ports where they do tours to Alcatraz or cruises under the Golden Gate Bridge. I was able to walk to Lombard street also (be mindful of the hills). I felt safe being a solo female traveller walking around the streets near the hotel as it was a very touristy area. Negative- the rooms aren’t very sound proof. Can hear people walking down the hallway at all hours of the day/night, or walking outside down the street/ the trams running at night and in the morning. Can hear if the room next to you are having a shower/ washing their hands through the pipe system. Read less

In the uk this would be a 3 star hotel at best. Poor quality rooms/ decor etc. our sliding wardrobe door did not work, the maintenance guy came to fix it twice and commented that all the rooms were the same. The level of cleanliness was adequate and the lobby is a nice area to hang out. S’mores by the fire pit a nice touch. The location is good if… Read more

Great location, very clean and the staff were amazing. I enjoyed everything about it and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to visit San Francisco

Upgraded room had view of masses of people and roadrages at night, very noisy had to block window dark drab hallways endless walk to room. No secure wifi biggest issue. Building lower businesses abandoned boarded up trasy un kempt. No better room available. No secure WIFI unacceptable.
