The hotel

Get the true Fisherman’s Wharf experience at this fashionable hotel. Hyatt Centric's red-brick design fits in well with its surroundings, and its arched windows frame famous attractions like Pier 39, Ghiradelli Square, and The Embarcadero. Step inside and see its exposed brick and industrial accessories, but with a chic ‘seaside hotel’ twist. For a treat, grab your towel and head to the courtyard pool and whirlpool. And why not end the day with a glass of local wine by the fireplace — and maybe a tasty crab and clam chowder?

Participating in a sporting event. Great location to rental bikes, aquatic park and the race venue at Marina Green. Staff were quick to respond to any requests.

Excellent room, very comfortable and clean, shower was great. Coffee machine was great but no milk even from reception, kettle was provided on request. Reception and porter staff friendly, efficient and professional, we asked for a kettle in reception and he was at our door as we walked down the corridor! 5 mins walk to fisherman's wharf, 10 mins… Read more

I enjoyed my stay! The room was clean and comfortable, and the housekeeper was friendly. The location was excellent to walk over to the wharf, Ghirardelli, or catch the muni or the cable car. I did not have a car there, and Uber never had trouble finding the hotel. I felt safe as a solo female walking around, though I live in a city so I'm used to city life. There's a hot tub which was nice to enjoy in the morning. There were kids using the pool but it was a bit chilly weather for swimming for my taste. I did a night tour with the Big Bus Company and received a discount through the hotel, so look for this if you are thinking of doing one of their tours. I'm a Hyatt Globalist and I had many Hyatts to choose from in San Francisco and I'm glad I chose this one. For the globalist breakfast benefit, I could choose the buffet or off the menu which was nice. Nancy and Wilfredo at breakfast were so friendly and provided excellent service! Read less

The front staff was rude and seemed bothered. We are rewards members and felt as though we were not valued as such. The parking is a joke! Nightly mandatory valet parking was $65 per day on top of the daily amenities fee of $45!! We chose to park 2 blocks away due to the outrageous costs. Housekeeping sis not come daily to clean as we requested at check in when we were offered a choice of either daily cleaning or no cleaning at all. With my weak immune system, I require daily cleaning and ample towels. My husband had to go get towels whenever housekeeping skipped cleaning days. Also, we attempted to have breakfast at the restaurant on site but quickly realized the high price to dine there. The typical breakfast buffet there was a whopping $35 per person, including children!! So frustrating! The basic breakfast buffet is one that you would expect at a low cost hotel where you would usually pay $16 per person. Although the location is ideal, just 2 blocks away from Fisherman's Wharf, the hassle is not worth it. We will never stay here again! Read less
