The best of this hotel is the location, you can go most of the interesting San Francisco's interesting place walking, you are near to the port that takes you to alcatraz, really near to pier 39, the place is really clean, the breakfast is good, the sevice is excelent, just the tub is really old and the rooms are very small for the price.

We arrived at the hotel at 01 am after a long flight from Hawaii. Our next flight was at 10 pm the evening the next day so we chose this hotel particularly because of the nice pool area. We wished to relax by the pool before the long flight back to Europe. We were welcomed by a friendly miss Abigail at the reception. When we asked, she said that we could use the pool and the gym after check out at noon as long as we left the room by noon. At checkout we asked to get access to the pool and the gym after noon. Then the woman at the reception said that we had to pay 35 dollar per hour even though we left the room. The room cards would not work after 12 she said. We asked if she could prologe it, but the rules had to be followed she said and we had to pay per hour. We travel a lot all around the world all year around and have never experienced that kind of poor service. In all hotels we stay we are able to use all facilities while waiting for late flights. Last time in Hawaii. She had to ask her manager who had to ask another manager. But they would not let us use the facilities because the key card would not work. After some minutes the manager changed her mind and said we could use the facilities until 3 pm. That was good but why be so rigid? That is poor service we think, and we almost felt like criminals. It costs so little to make guests satisfied at no cost for the hotel. The breakfast was very good and well organized. even though it was crowded. There was too much noise from the road and harbour outside all night long so we could not sleep well. We had planned to eat lunch at the hotel, but we changed our mind due to the lack of service. A very good hotel at Fisherman’s Wharf. We had a nice and big room. The breakfast was excellent. Short way to tge cable cars, trams and buses.
