The Holiday Inn is a hidden gem. Some of my favorites: -Blackout curtains, they truly keep the glaring sun out of the rooms! I struggled to wake up on time because of how dark my room was. But the moment I rolled up the blackout curtains I was greeted with a ray of sunshine! -Alkaline water dispenser in the gym. This water...it just hits… Read more

But the moment I rolled up the blackout curtains I was greeted with a ray of sunshine! -Alkaline water dispenser in the gym. This water...it just hits different. It's crisp, refreshing and cold! -The Staff. All of the staff i interacted with is super friendly, and helpful. Everyone greets with a friendly hello, or head nod in passing. -The parking garage is secure with a full roll up door. You can't just walk into the garage from the street. You either have to check in with your car and grab a parking ticket, or walk through the lobby. Read less

We reached the hotel after a long journey from Columbus. The front desk was very helpful and they helped us with an early check in which was a huge relief. The rooms were neat and clean. There is an inhouse restaurant. I would definitely recommend this hotel

We stayed here for a couples trip and it was ok. The staff did a fine job. The hotel was clean and our room was nice and clean. We had a small fridge in our room which came in handy. There is also a nice restaurant and bar downstairs. There is a CVS vending machine on the 1st floor where you can purchase some medication and other important items. The fitness center is very nice and spacious with a filtered water system. The ice and vending machines are located on every other floor. There is also a nice microwave area on the Lower Level since the room did not have a microwave. The parking is $40 per night. Housekeeping has to be requested daily which we did and they did a great job of keeping our room clean. This hotel is conveniently located next to the Cable Car that stops at California and Van Ness. We rode this all the way down to the Ferry/Port of San Francisco. There are also multiple buses that stop on Van Ness in front of the hotel which made it easy for us to get around town without having to pay a ton for Uber. We purchased a 3 day Muni pass for $31 which was unlimited rides on buses, cable cars, trains etc. There are somethings that you need to be aware of if you stay here. We asked the guy at the front counter for a recommendation for lunch and we went to eat lunch and ran into a lot of homeless people on the way. We didn’t know that we were staying near an area called the Tenderloin. I didn’t feel comfortable walking through this area with my wife and I saw somethings that almost made me turn around. If you stay at this hotel, I advise you not to walk in that direction but walk in the opposite direction towards California Street where it’s safer and much nicer. The walls in this hotel are super thin. We heard conversations on both sides coming from the other rooms. The bed was so squeaky that I thought about trying to get some WD-40 to see if that would help. There are 6 elevators but at least 1 or 2 of them were out of order. The cleaning guy had 2 elevators closed down at the same time while he was cleaning them out. I don’t understand why you would tie both elevators up at the same time while cleaning. Would be better to clean them 1 at a time. Overall, this hotel was fine. Also, the shower and tub drain was not working properly. It drained the water very slow which caused the water to fill up in the bottom. If we come back to San Francisco, we will definitely stay in a better location that’s no so close to the Tenderloin and a hotel with a little better quality. Read less
