There's a friendly boutique atmosphere at the Omni, thanks in part to its Florentine Renaissance architecture. Built as a bank in 1926, the hotel is quite grand, with Italian marble and Austrian crystal chandeliers in the lobby. A great way to get your bearings in the city is to join the free Saturday morning walking tour — find out about its history, architecture, legends and more. Fortunately, you don’t need a guide to find your way to Bob’s Steak & Chop House, which serves some of the best steaks in town. Bob’s Bar is also popular; check out the monthly cocktail special, made using local ingredients.

Double charged me for my rooms. I prepaid for the rooms in April 2024, which I confirmed at check-in on 7/19. I was charged again for the rooms once I checked out on 7/21. I called the front desk twice to address this issue and was not issued an apology. I talked in circles with the front desk about this issue and they offered no resolution/refund… Read more

I called the front desk twice to address this issue and was not issued an apology. I talked in circles with the front desk about this issue and they offered no resolution/refund and were quite rude. The front desk gave me an email to send information, which was faulty and undeliverable. This was my bachelorette weekend and I am the bride. I felt so frustrated and broken down after calling numerous times. Customer service showed no remorse or effort to remedy their mistake. Read less

Pros: Quiet, smooth check-in process, safe Cons: Red mold all over shower walls (thought it was blood at first), musty smell, shower pressure was so strong it seriously felt like being hosed down, caulking in shower is deteriorating (maybe due to the pressure of the water), check-out person seemed unhappy/unfriendly

Great location - we could walk to China Town and North Beach (aka Little Italy) easily from the hotel. (well, it's up hill, but do-able). Service is exceptional - rooms and common areas are well kept - we had a great time.

This was our first time at the Omni San Francisco. Our experience started with a warm welcome, authentic smiles and willingness to go the extra mile. The hotel is elegantly designed right down to a warm and welcoming reception area with extremely attentive front desk staff and the provision of Coffee and Tea every morning and refreshing flavoured water throughout the day at the reception area. They also provide free bottled water as and when required. I am new to the Omni Select loyalty program. We stayed in a room arranged by my son in law to celebrate our 30th anniversary. He liaised with Jasmine Webb the Loyalty Ambassador who did an incredible and amazing job with making our stay special and memorable and got this we are extremely grateful. Using this experience as a reference we will the loyalty program a 10/10. We are foreigners visiting the US on holiday and have lived in and visited top hotel chains in approximately 20 countries. I am pleased to recognise and recommend the Omni hotel group and loyalty program for its outstanding hospitality and customer service and proud to say that because of my experience at Omni San Francisco, I have chosen to become a member of the Select Guest loyalty program and am on my way to becoming a loyal supporter of the brand.
