The hotel

As chic as it is bohemian, Triton is one of the trendiest hotels in San Francisco. With a style all of its own, including suites designed by celebrities and art exhibits often hosted by the artists themselves, it’s one of those hotels you’re proud to ‘drop into conversation’ when you get home. The Triton team say it’s like staying with a fashionable friend who lives right by Union Square and Chinatown. With a Bag Butler to pick up your shopping from Union Square’s boutiques, an organic snack bar in your room, in-room spa treatments, and a wine social hour each evening, we think it’s probably better.

Where is it

In the Union Square area, San Francisco’s main shopping district, the hotel is also just a stroll from Chinatown’s attractions and the Financial District. There are plenty of dining options around the hotel; in fact it sits between two popular restaurants, one of which offers room service to Triton guests. Transfer time from San Francisco International airport: 25 minutes.

140 rooms. All with air-conditioning, LG 32” flat-screen TV, and honor bar* (with healthy organic treats). Deluxe Rooms have 1 king-size, 1 queen-size or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Social Hour (daily at 5:00pm, complimentary wines, occasional local performers including musicians, poets, and tarot readers). Grab & Go (located in the lobby, with locally sourced, globally inspired snacks and drinks). Room service* (from Café de la Presse next door, limited hours). 24-hour workout facility. In-room spa service*. Complimentary WiFi. Valet parking $58 a night plus tax (payable locally, subject to change).

This hotel has a daily Resort Fee of $29.11 per room per night (subject to applicable taxes) will be charged direct upon check-in (payable locally, subject to change).

Like wee hours of the morning late. I was absolutely exhausted being up and about for almost a whole 24 hours and Roselyn did such a fantastic job in hospitality mode when I walked in. Wasn't even in my room yet and I already relaxed. It's my second time here and it really does seem like folks are just top notch here. Love the staff. The room was a little less awesome this time around, bit of a smell and noticed bugs on the bed a few times, shade controls kind of odd/unintuitive, noise isolation not great, not a fan of the lights turning off automatically too soon.. but maybe the accessibility room is just different, or just unlucky with neighbors this time. Still a great stay, still favorite hotel, looking forward to staying here again. Read less

Amazing experience from minute one! Great service in selecting the hotel, booking the room, managing the reservation & check in. Excellent price, amenities & comfortable room. Service & team could not be better! Smiles & friendly staff everywhere & at all times. I’m a big fan!

A really great hotel near the centre of San Francisco! The staff were really friendly and helpful and the room and hotel very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included and set us up for a good start to the day. All in all great value! We would certainly stay there again!

We were first a little skeptical because it was different than main-named hotels we normally stayed at but we became pleasantly surprised. The front desk staff always went out of their way to greet you, the breakfast in the morning was a bonus but the 4-6 Happy Hour free of charge went above and beyond. In addition, the hotel is situated in a great part of San Francisco which is accessible by walking for those up to the challenge! I would highly recommend the Triton and look forward to staying here again when we visit. Read less

We decided to beat the heat in the South Bay and take a breather in SF. Hotel Triton was the perfect choice with everything in walking distance. Parked the car at a garage just a block away with reasonable rates considering it’s the city. Then we spent our days on foot exploring North Beach, Chinatown, the Ferry Building, and Union Square. Happy Hour was a nice bonus after all that exercise! Plenty of food options all around and we were offered discounts at the neighboring cafe and gelato shop. Appreciated the breakfast, it was crowded but no problem we took our food to our cozy room. Staff was great - Milena was very welcoming at check out and Bryant made check out easy.
