Parc 55 San Francisco, A Hilton Hotel

Union Square, San Francisco

Virgin rating

The hotel

One for shopaholics and sightseers alike, Parc 55 San Francisco is easy shopping-bag-hauling distance from Union Square — the only question is, do you hit the big-name brands of the nine-storey Westfield mall or the one-of-a-kind boutiques around the square? Its address also puts you a quick hop from Powell Street’s cable car turnaround, Yerba Buena Gardens, and Chinatown. Once you’ve filled your suitcase and your camera’s memory, you can enjoy the locally inspired dishes of Cable 55 (with its equally local microbrews), and Thai treats of Kin Khao.

Repeat customer! 👍🏼❤️ Stayed 4 times this year for business due to the outstanding people that make this hotel even more special. María at the front desk is the best! Thomas at the bar and Tony at the restaurant always greeted us with a welcoming spirit. We’ll be back!

A modern hotel with great amenities and in a prime downtown location. It’s a short walk to Union Square, Powell Street Cable Car turnaround, BART and Muni transit station, Yerba Buena gardens. SF Museum of Modern Art, and other destinations. The hotel has valet parking and nighttime security. The service is very friendly. I enjoyed my stay.

I flew into SF for my uncle's funeral and booked with this establishment. On the Hilton app I was quoted around $500 for the few nights that I was there. After checking in, my online banking said that they charged upwards of $1,000. I tried to talk with the front desk to see what justification they had to double charging me and someone told me it was "an accident and that I would have to wait for checkout for this said accident to be reversed." Not very convenient for me since I was there for a funeral and needed funds for Uber rides, food, and funeral expenses. I was not able to support my family financially for the funeral because of the hotel's accident and I have yet to receive any communication back from the hotel on how they are going to fix this. The wifi is broken junk hard to connect. They also charge unless you're an Honors member and book direct with them. Huge scam. Parking is an absurd $75 a day. The front desk staff is incompetent and hung up on me about 3+ times as I tried to get the wifi to work. City is a dangerous drug homeless encampment. Hotel should shutdown.

The staff at Parc 55 may be the most kind, thoughtful and efficient team I have ever encountered during travel. I started not feeling well during my stay and everyone I talked to were so flexible and willing to help me. I was unable to go downstairs to get food myself, and I had several Walgreens deliveries, which they delivered to my room. (they normally do not have room service). The manager personally walked to kitchen to order my food and then she delivered it to my door. The hotel is beautiful and my room was large, clean and modern. Sonya, Winnie were both very kind and helpful, going out of their way to help me. There were many others including valet , another manager and front desk but I did not catch their names. Parc 55 is my new go to hotel in San Francisco! Read less
