We had a bit of a rough start as my husband and I booked an ADA room for our 35 year anniversary. The bed was a bit high and hard to transfer into and I talked to the front desk. They did send someone to our room, but they were not able to do anything. We did let them know that the bed was not the typical 23-25" from the ground and they appreciated the feedback. The roll in shower was great, but we could not get water to come out of the hand held attachment. I called the front desk and they walked me through how to activate since my husband was not able to reach. They explained that people who don't need an ADA room sometimes book and adjust the shower to block the handheld showerhead and it was not reset. Hard to reset if someone in a wheelchair was by themselves.
Even though this first day was rough, they did make an adjustment on the bill for us. The room was beautiful overlooking the Bay and the location was right on the main street and everything was in walking distance which we appreciated. The staff really did try to make things better for us. We would definitely go back, but would call to see if they were able to adjust the height of the bed in the ADA room first.

Cannot beat the service & location in Sausalito. Rooms are quiet & large, especially the bathrooms which is rare for SF area. They also have a great restaurant/bar on first level.

We loved our time at Casa Madorona. The staff, bellmen, and housekeepers were extremely friendly and keep the property beautiful. The views from the balcony overlook the Sausalito marina and San Francisco Bay and are exquisite.
