The hotel

In a hillside woodland setting close to the entrance to Yosemite National Park, Rush Creek Lodge offers warm, friendly service and a wealth of activities. You can hire a bike, enjoy a yoga class, relax by the pool or play a game of bumper pool! Enjoy the fresh California cuisine at the lodge’s two restaurants — both with al fresco seating for the warmer days. Choose between the rustic yet stylish Restaurant with its wood-burning oven and open kitchen, or the more casual Tavern with its big screen TVs, signature cocktails and evening music. There's also daily activities, from wildlife talks and kids crafts to beer tasting - and the lodge's nightly tradition of complimentary s'mores by the fire pit.

The best part of the hotel is the guest lobby, full of activities to entertain kids and adults: the games, play tables and chill sofas are great to be while waiting for your table at the restaurant or so. The best part of the hotel is the guest lobby, full of activities to entertain kids and adults: the games, play tables and chill sofas are great to be while waiting for your table at the restaurant or so. Also the heated outdoor pools and play ground are fun for the kids! I like the room decor, it’s cozy and has a great size. The location of the hotel is very convenient to visit through the north entrances of Yosemite. Now the parts that need attention to details: The rooms don’t have TV and we missed that a lot to connect our streaming device and watch our shows at night. The breakfast was okay, not delicious, the egg on the buffet was dry and even the ones made to order, the eggs were small, harder than we ordered, the coffee spilled on the cup. The attendants seemed in a rush. The housekeeping did not pay attention to details, they knew I had a third person in my room and the sofa bed was not done, so I ask for extra linen and I made the bed folded. On the second day, I asked the sofa bed to be unfolded and it was not, when I did myself I found the bed was ready inside, so I left the previous linen on the floor, it was never taken away. I had to ask twice for an extra blanket. The pillows were not arranged on the bed after the first night, the bathroom sink was not wiped after my first night (to be clear, I never left my stuff on their way for cleaning the room). It lacked attention. The safe was not working, after calling maintenance, they put it back to work but with low battery, so it was not unlocking. I had to call them 3 times until I have full battery and unlocked safe with my stuff inside. The two L2 eletric car charges from charge point was always unavailable, it would be better to replace providers. Read less

Rush Creek is located just 30 minutes from the Route 120/Tiago Road entrance. But check to see if the road is open as usually it’s closed throughout the winter until May. We lucked out and it was open April 9! Otherwise it’s a 3 hour trip to the Route 140 entrance. The hotel is nice and new. Rooms are either in the Main Lodge or in Villas… Read more

We lucked out and it was open April 9! Otherwise it’s a 3 hour trip to the Route 140 entrance. The hotel is nice and new. Rooms are either in the Main Lodge or in Villas scattered throughout the property. A large heated salt water pool and outdoor hot tub is at the center of the complex. S’mores are offered every evening. Large game room for the kids. Beds are reasonably comfortable. Rooms are clean and well-maintained. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Only thing is the restaurant - a little slow but service is good. Perhaps it’s the early season so not fully staffed up? Overall, highly recommend it! Read less

Rush creek lodge Is the go to place for a family to stay when visiting Yosemite national Park. The combinations are phenomenal. The food at the restaurant was really tasty after a long day of hiking. The indoor and outdoor players are great for kids. Plan to stay here again soon.
