The Lodge is perfect a mile right outside the Yosemite Park entrance. We stayed in the Villas they are roomy and perfect for a family as they have a separate bedroom. The restaurant, bar, and common areas are great after spending a day out doors. Everyone is friendly, helpful and everything is very clean. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this hotel- exactly as advertised but even better in person when you take in the scenery and the proximity to Yosemite! So easy as a family with littles - we will absolutely be back. Food was pricy but that’s standard in the mountains in CA. The general store was a real life saver though- was like a mini whole foods!

Only problem I had was no TV in our room… I’m an Aussie traveller and wanted to watch something happening back home which I had to do on my iPad (not ideal). Aside from this a great place I will definitely stay at again. Read less

Adventure traveling as a wheelchair user can be a roll of the dice. This is written specifically for people who use a wheelchair. My travel partner is paraplegic. We stayed in a two bedroom hillside villa. There was a king bed and two twin beds. It would have been perfect for a family but we did enjoy the extra space as a couple. There were two accessible parking spots next to the villa, they were pretty level for transferring in and out of vehicles. The entry had a nice bench with hooks to stage the next day's fun. There was a nice shelving unit for storage. I used it as a makeshift kitchen to prepare granola and yogurt in the morning and sandwiches and snacks for the road. The small refrigerator worked well. It behaved as a normal refrigerator that kept milk cold and did not freeze my food, which is a rare luxury for hotel refrigerators. The sink area was large and separated from the toilet and tub with a sliding door. There was ample space to move between the toilet and the tub. The tub situation was a little tight while showering, but we knew we had signed up for a tub and worked around it. It was not any different than other hotel accessible tubs. The master bedroom area looked out over trees; it was beautiful. There was a couch, coffee table and dresser. Each side of the bed had a table with a lamp and there was a fireplace. The deck had plenty of room to turn and look around, eat at the small table and relax watching the birds play in the trees. It also had small ramps to ease the "bump" of the threshold of the sliding door, a feature I had never seen in a hotel. Thank you Rush Creek. The resort is built on a mountain side, we knew this going in, it is adventure after all. The road from our villa to and from the restaurant is the wheelchair equivalent to a double black diamond. My partner uses a manual chair, he could not have made it up or down without my assistance. I exercise regularly and was able to assist. You need a physically fit able-bodied person to get a wheelchair up and down the hill. Once down the hill, there are paths and lifts that can get to the other locations. There are accessible rooms at the lodge, they may have a less adventurous path to the restaurant, but they were a traditional hotel room, and we preferred the villa set up. The restaurant was worth the trip down and up the hill. The menu had a variety of dishes that were freshly crafted. The salmon was delicious, the appetizers were fun and there was a nice variety for all tastes. There have been some posts about cost. The food was incredible based on the location, to move fresh food to that area is a logistical feat in itself, yes, it will cost more. I truly appreciate the effort and happy to pay the surcharge. I would highly recommend Rush Creek if you are an adventure wheelchair user. It is close to the Yosemite entrance, and we were able to cover all the parts of the park we wanted to see using this location as our base. Yosemite has quite a few paths we were able to roll on that gave a sense of hiking, and a few off-pavement adventures that required a strong person helping to push. Read less

Very nice and clean rooms.  The property grounds, pool, and location to Yosemite makes this a great choice for couples and families.  The only complaint are the food choices for dinner.  The bar and the dining room serve the same choices so not much to choose from if you are staying multiple nights. The staff very friendly and helpful.
