Our stay overall was great. I found it annoying that I had to pay for wi-fi and special tv privileges to watch a home game only 5 miles away. It's hard to understand why they would charge for that instead of just including the cost in the price.

I stay at the fairmont Chicago on a regular basis and the staff at the gold club is phenomenal. Cody, Tiffany and most especially, Mandana are extremely attentive. It’s like home away from home but better!! I high,y recommend

The food selection was fantastic for evening canapes (charcuterie!) and breakfast was always delicious. We ate entirely too much every day. Ask for some of their fancy chilled tea in the afternoon! The staff at the Gold Lounge really make all the difference. They remember your name and help you with anything you need. In particular, we spent a lot of time with Patricio, Mandana and the concierge Tiffany. They were all beyond amazing. We received better service here than we did as suite guests on numerous cruises. Also, I have read some bad reviews for the hotel restaurant (tap house) which I disagree with. Their branzino fish and fried artichokes with curry sauce was excellent! The hotel's location is great as we spent more time south of the river but also felt we were close to everything north of the river as well. I truly feel that spending the extra money for the Gold Lounge is worth it and you will not be sorry! Read less

The hotel staff is top notch - especially on the Fairmont Gold Floor (15th) The concierge and staff in the Fairmont Gold Lounge were superb, as was the continental breakfast we enjoyed. Great location and great views of the parks and lake - from our room and the lounge.
