Planning a partial wedding around Covid 19 is harder than planning a normal wedding. Prior to our wedding my husband lost his Father to Covid so you can imagine the emotions that surrounded this special day. We decided to visit the hotel a week before the wedding due to Covid changes. Honestly the pictures were the foundation of that day. We were granted access to the lobby of the hotel we were staying at for photos. We were on a tight schedule ceremony, photos and dinner so we were not in the hotel lobby long. When me and my husband arrived our family meaning adult children and parents were waiting to take photos the manager started approaching the young girls yelling because there mask was down we expect children to forget so the manager should of spoken to me or my husband. He then came back and said we have 5 min and we must leave. I was hurt I never got a chance to take photos with my husband, honestly we didn't cause harm to the hotel we were very respectful the hotel lobby is so big anyone walking in didn't see us due to a large partition in the lobby. The manager mentioned we had to leave due to more guest checking in. The guest checking in were white and had pilot uniforms on I believe. I didn't understand this man anger and concern for us when we were not causing harm and asked permission and was given the okay. It felt like he was personally attacking us. I can't begin to explain my hurt every time I think about that day I want to cry no apology nor money can give me back what was stolen from me on my wedding day, there are no redo's. Read less

Luckily I only stayed one night. Front desk attention and service was great, but the overall style of the hotel is outdated and old. The carpets in the rooms need to be changed ASAP, the shower/bathroom area was quite small, it felt almost European. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows. Had breakfast at the restaurant downstairs and it… Read more

We always have great luck at Fairmont’s but not this time. The furniture in the rooms and the bathrooms felt very dated. No coffee maker, no house keeping unless you ask for it, no parking on site and only two pillows on a king bed (so 1 pillow each). I get it, covid precautions but this just seems excessive. I couldn’t get out of there fast… Read more

I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. We left and checked in to Trump International the very next morning. They had all the amenities I expect when traveling. Read less

Alexander Mcandrews, Mandana Kaydi, and Tiphani. They had the best hospitality in the world. They make you never want to leave the Fairmont chicago. Also… Read more

Celebrated my birthday in Chicago and decided to stay at this hotel. Had a wonderful experience from Check in to check out. Received a room upgrade that had stunning views of Millenium Park! The door man, Barry was awesome! He helped answer any question about where to go and how to get there. Always had a smile on.
